Authorities search for suspects seen using missing Farmington man’s credit cards

I'm surprised this thread isn't more active. We have plenty of tangible evidence and information. I havent been able to dig much up, I see they found his truck, so maybe they're getting close. Just seems like we could find a connection somewhere or identify the men in the photos.

Interesting to me, they found his truck shortly before the post on craigslist about a freezer for sale? Which was listed 6 days ago. Imo the same kind that was purchased with his CC. Perhaps that's how they found the truck. Anyways if anyone has found anything else on this case I'd be very interested.

The HD photos are certainly clear enough for recognition IMO. My guess is these men have already been identified and LE is working this case. My mind spins with possibilities. Hoping those who know and love CC get the good news they want soon.

Just saw someone’s post regarding the same type freezer posted for sale in the Phoenix area, same road as Home Depot is on, Bell Rd I believe. Not sure if I’m allowed to post the link from Craigslist so I can delete if needed.

7 Cubic Ft. chest Freezer - Brand new

There was an address listed in the add for the freezer. I am from Phoenix and familiar with the area. The seller said to come by and look at it. The address links back to a store called Phoenix Appliances - Appliance Sales and Service. The picture on the webpage also shows similar flooring to the 1 in the for sale post. I assume this is where it ended up. This area is a high crime, run-down area of Phoenix. A lot of seedy businesses, pawn shops, etc. Maybe the 2 men sold it for cash here. There are half a dozed pawn shops within a few miles radius of this store. This is only speculation, but maybe they found this business and were able to sell it for cash without having to provide ID since (if this is the exact freezer from the purchase) they chose not to use any of the numerous pawn shops in the area.

this is a really odd thing to add but I just bought that exact freezer from HD for my mom. I live in Phoenix area, but bought it in Hollywood CA on our journey there from Albuquerque, which is in NM so it is all kinda weird. That's all. We bought it to use though, not to sell to get cash.

CC, where are you, what's going on, are you all right?

In my opinion, you would surely think they now know the identities of the two men in the photos from Home Depot. I am also very curious as to the location of the truck as well as the condition of it, any items left in the truck, fingerprints, etc. It's been over 24 hours and no additional information on the truck at all. I'm hoping LE is doing everything one would think they should be with some of the details that are out there.

A screenshot from Gila County Sheriff’s FB page indicating they took a call about an abandoned vehicle on the July 13th (presumably the day they found CC’s truck based on information posted online). Also, the next line indicates: ‘deputies’ - plural, dispatched to assist another agency (DPS - Dept of Public Safety) to the same area. The Mazatzal Casino is located: Hwy 87, Mile Marker 251, Payson!!!

Very interesting. I’d be shocked if this isn’t where/when it was located.

The flooring does look similar. It also looks like they carry chest freezers - possibly the same brand as the one the two mystery men purchased at Home Depot. The one in this photo (from your link) is 5 cu ft but I imagine they may sell other sizes. Interesting, and good sleuthing! ;) MOO

Thank you KatzEye for posting. I was leaving work and didn’t get to thoroughly investigate the miles between the 2. And wow ... look right by that mile marker is a unmarked turnoff/road. I think we might be on to something.

Hi HalesNTX, I'm linking the Sheriff's post since screenshots aren't allowed per TOS. Carry on! :)

We took a side trip to Payson while vacationing in Phoenix last March. And, we traveled pretty Far East on AZ 260. Besides some homes in areas closer to Payson, the rest of the road is fairly remote with many side/dirt roads, some campgrounds and hiking trail parking areas way back in off the road. There is one paved road that will take you all the way back south close to Phoenix again, sort of the "back way." I don't get why they would abandon his truck, if it is his truck, right there on the main route. If they wanted to hide it, that's an easy task.

Apparently, Gila County Sheriff's is no longer handling the case (curious?) according to the Find Craig FB page, so the vehicle must have been found outside their jurisdiction? And the casino will not release video footage?

Gila County Sheriffs probably turned it over to DPS. DPS has the highest level of jurisdiction of any LE agency in AZ. I think that is why it said in the post that they dispatched deputies to assist DPS at that location. They would be the LE agency working directly with NM and that's probably why the Sheriffs Office is no longer handling the case.
