You have made a lot of good points!
After all, there has been no evidence that a crime has even been committed.
Only speculation based on behavior and actions that may or may not be true.

Concerning him not notifying Barbara's son right away, there may be a reasonable explanation for that.
Earlier it was mentioned that LE had possession of Robert's phone in the beginning of the investigation. Do we know if he even knew Barbaras son's number? Maybe the wrong number that was given was the number he thought it was, but LE had to search through his phone to ultimately find it.
Or maybe he was just so overwhelmed with what was going on that he assumed another family member had contacted Barbara's son.

Apparently they didn't get along , and for all we know Barbara hadn't seen her son for years so he just didn't think about it right away. He must have been overwhelmed between talking to investigators, notifying family members, and trying to figure out what happened to his wife. Not to mention dealing with his grief.

As for him hanging out in certain places and staying in his RV, or leaving the dog at the kennel, I'm not sure if any of that has been verified either. And if true, we don't know the reasons for it. Maybe he finds comfort in the people who he is hanging out with at the casino (if true) and he can't stand being alone in his house because Barbara is not there.
Maybe he feels as if he can't take care of the dog right now. Or maybe it's just a painful reminder of his wife.

Considering that he is a victim, he has been getting a lot of criticism and accusations that he has committed a crime when there has been absolutely no evidence that a crime even occurred.

In fact LE has stated from the beginning that they do not suspect foul play and as far as I know that has not changed.

Of course if there is evidence of a crime that points to him I certainly wouldn't have a hard time believing it. After all, we don't know these people at all and don't know what evidence LE has or if they have had any success following up on leads.
We just don't know yet.

I just hope they can find out what happened to Barbara, and if it does turn out someone is responsible, that justice is served. The family at least deserves to know what happened, if that's even possible at this point. Imo

LE said the same thing about the Kelsey Berreth case. They even said they didn't consider Patrick Frazee a POI; then he was arrested.

Maybe I'm just naive but I don't like to think that RT did something terrible to Barbara. I know loved ones do and have done awful things to their significant others, it happens too often. But I can't say that his behavior bothers me - I don't even know him. I don't believe that there is a certain way an innocent or guilty person would behave in such a situation. Of course I trust LE and I hope Barbara is found soon!

I'd like to know if there's been evidence of domestic violence between them

Goldie Hawn is 73, Helen Mirren 73 is too. Both look great in a bikini and are public examples of what in my experience in CA and Florida is representative of what lots of ladies of Barb’s age group wear.

So for me Rob is showing his age by blaming Barb. He tried to get her to wait while he took the picture but no she went on in a bikini and with a beer in her hand implying temping inevitable fate. The old clothes and public drinking by the victim made the predator do it notion.

How would that passing opportunist predator even know what was in the cup; it could have been iced tea. The beer being in the cup is extraneous information unless someone is trying to paint a picture of some kind: it’s her fault she went ahead of me wearing revealing garb and drinking.

<modsnip - sleuthing non POI)

I don’t think the picture is from that day or they would have captioned it, as in all other cases, this is a picture taken right before her disappearance and I think it would have been a full picture not cropped just in case a piece of clothing or her boots were found so they could be recognized and turned in.

In the picture in question she seem to be wearing a red visor because I can see her white hair towards the top and back or is it a red and white hat?

It would look like white from the back which seems an identifier if I was actually hoping a person would be spotted. And don’t tell me Rob, living in sun country, doesn’t know the difference between a hat and a visor!

All imo

She sort of liberates women of around 69.
It was of course Robert who portrayed her an object of desire, but by doing so making her a hero and example for all women of 65 and up; it is obvious that they can still be very attractive and hiking in just a bikini and boots.

All those hundreds of comments on social media: "huh a 69 yo woman hiking in a bikini carrying a beer?" , well yes of course!

This case should really get more coverage.

Absolutely! I am 62, and have absolutely no intention of giving up my string bikinis!

Where are you, Barbara??

Ref post # 22 in the Media thread. Poster @sroad was our boots on the ground. AZ - AZ - Barbara Thomas, 69, Timeline, Media, Maps, *NO DISCUSSION*

He states that when he was there, a car went by every few minutes. Someone may have noticed the vehicle, at the very least. IMHO, it is large and easily noticed. That person or persons could help LE establish a timeline. This is why we need to spread the word far and wide. Today, I thought of campgrounds - how do we get the poster up in all of the CA/NV/AZ campgrounds?

On the other hand comparing pictures of Rob he has had work done around his eyes and with the hair tint he comes off as disingenuous, imo, while conceding it may be that and maybe some Botox as well keeping his expression/ affect weird to me.
Snipped for brevity
Bolding mine

"Disingenuous" : Adj. ; not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does.

There's something missing.
Seems like there's more information that is possibly being held back.

And still no one saw them out at the desert ??
Even just driving by ?

Are there still no sightings of Barbara after the neighbor's surveillance cams and the drop off of her dog, Lexie ?

Sorry the fonts are all out of whack.
They dropped off her dog?

I don't know if a car going by every few minutes is typical. Some of them while sroad was there may have been lookyloos since it was in the news about the search going on.

MOO is that Kelbaker is not that heavily traveled. If you look at Google satellite photo of Kelbaker, I believe I only saw one car on the road whenever that photo was taken, running from Granite Pass to the 40.

So... devils advocate.
Do we know what the relationship of Barb and her son was like, prior to disappearance? Immediately prior, a year prior, five years, etc. Were they close or was the relationship strained? If they kept in touch, was it by phone or perhaps email? Did she visit him or did he make the trip to visit her?
My apologies if this has been covered in prior threads... but I'm wondering if their relationship wasn't strained. We truly don't know the family dynamics because other than the VI, no one else has stepped forward to provide any insight. What if something explosive has happened in the past and Barbara and her son weren't on speaking terms? What if it had been like that for years? Maybe that wouldn't have been Roberts first thought, to call her estranged son and make him aware.

Also, people act strange in times of stress and crisis. Sometimes they can't even explain the thought process that they followed, it's just a glitch in humans. Some people are incredibly focused (occasionally on something completely separate, perhaps to take their mind off of the problem at hand) and others are so scatterbrained that it's painful to try to follow a conversation with them. There is no "correct" way to respond in situations like this because everyone handles things differently. Keep in mind their ages. When my grandfather was sick, my grandmother was making sure their financial matters were in order, papers neatly filed and accessible, passwords written down, etc. This blew the minds of family because one would assume that she would be worried sick, at his side 24/7 and upset. She was methodical and that's just how she handled the stress but behind closed doors and alone, she was an absolute mess. I guess it's easy to judge with little information and the statistical outcome of these situations but boy, I hope that I'm never in the shoes of Robert.
