  • A law enforcement source said the two were in an on-again, off-again relationship.
  • Teschner was sentenced to 11 years in 2007 for breaking into his wife’s house and attempting to harm her and has a criminal history dating back further.

  • He was released from prison in 2015.
  • The residence was being rented and the owners did not live there.
  • LE used K9s to search the house, finding a dog dead in the rubble.
  • Real estate listings tout the 5 BR, 6 Bath home as available for year-round rentals. It sits on 2.3-acres with an in-ground pool and is about a mile from the beach.

Hope fading for family of woman missing after house fire, her friend’s arrest

"The living situation was tense inside Jacqueline Terrulli’s home throughout August, her family said."

“She took him in. She had a big heart. She was trying to help him beat his addiction... She had to lock up the liquor,” Joanie Terrulli said Wednesday. “I kept telling her to get rid of him."

In the days leading up to the blaze, Joanie Terrulli said her sister was planning on kicking Teschner out of the house and told relatives that she wanted him gone.

Jacquelyn Terrulli decided in August to help out an old family friend Ron Teschner and let him stay at her rented New Jersey home where she lived with her family. Last week, her home burned down and Teschner was arrested the next day with Terrulli's Jeep — but she was nowhere to be found.

Terrulli's family is now desperately searching for the 65-year-old woman who went missing last Thursday when a fire broke out at their 6,000-square-foot Ocean Township home on Wickapecko Drive. Jennifer Terrulli feared that her aunt and Teschner died in the fire but no bodies were found in the rubble where Turrelli lived with her mother, brother, sister and 49-year-old Teschner.

Teschner, a convicted felon, was later found on Sept. 13 with Terrulli's 2019 Jeep Cherokee and shotguns inside the vehicle. Some of Jacquelyn's jewelry were also discovered.

Video with Jacquelyn's sister who says Jacquelin just wanted to help RT get better and that she also cared for her mother, who is in her 90's, in the home. She says her sister, who is a successful business owner, would have never done anything to harm herself. :(

Teschner lived in the home with Terruli and three of her family members, according to the court documents. They were spending the night in Atlantic City the night prior to the fire.

Sadly, I can "read the writing on the wall" regarding this case. I hope this crime (murder imo) is solved quickly and that the victim is recovered and then this LOSER returns to prison for the rest of his life. So much for trying to help someone out! Thirty years ago I may have been willing to lend a hand, but now I am so much wiser.....some people just cannot be changed and it is not "our job" to fix them. He would have been "hands off" to me.

"They were tenants, old family friends who were renting — along with a few others — the $1.7 million home set back along Wickapecko Drive. On the morning of Sept. 12, the home erupted in flames and, afterward, two of its residents couldn't be found.

Jacqueline Terrulli, who previously owned a beauty salon and Botox clinic in Jackson, lived in the Ocean Township home with her sister, brother and mother. She decided to temporarily take in Teschner, an acquaintance she had known for years through mutual friends, Jennifer Terrulli said.

It was typical of Jacqueline Terrulli, her niece said. While living in Ocean, she took in 26 stray cats, building a backyard hard home for them complete with heat and electricity.

"Her whole life she had a love for animals like no other," Jennifer Terrulli said."

They shared a home that burned down. Days later, he's in jail and she's still missing.

:(

Four of the family's pets — two cats, a dog and a bird were killed in the blaze, Jennifer Terrulli said.

Teschner remains in jail awaiting a hearing scheduled for Monday where a judge will decide whether he will remain locked up while the case moves forward.
