But these charges are unrelated to Kamille? A prelude though I'm sure. :(
Wonder why they couldn't nab them for anything related to Kamille directly? Guess the SUV turned up with no physical evidence of Kamille having been in it? Hair? Fingerprints? Nothing?!

From what I understand, she did that all on her own.

Not the brightest person. She did it the next day after they were taken from her, held her family member at gunpoint, grabbed the kids, ran through an intersection, hit a car, hit a deputy's car totaling her vehicle with the 3 young kids in it and was then arrested.
 
So, I’m wondering if her children were taken from her, and she thought that cupcake could possibly be his.... would this be her delusional idea to kidnap cupcake so she could have a child again??

IDK... grasping at straws, but I really don’t think this was random!! IMO
 
Patrick Devone Stallworth, 39, is charged with seven crimes - possession of child *advertiser censored* and possession with intent to distribute child *advertiser censored*. The images were discovered on his phone during the ongoing investigation into the abduction of Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney.

None of the photos on Stallworth’s phone were of Kamille, according to authorities. He has not yet been charged with any crime in connection with Kamille’s disappearance. His bonds on the child *advertiser censored* charges total $500,000.

The woman taken into custody with him Sunday night, 29-year-old Derick Irisha Brown, remains held as well after authorities filed a motion Tuesday to revoke her bond in a 2018 case in which Brown is accused of abducting her three children from DHR custody. Brown also uses the name Quentesa Jackson, and she and Stallworth are in a dating relationship.

A Jefferson County mother has been indicted on charges that she kidnapped her three small children at gunpoint after she lost custody of them amid an abuse investigation.

The case made the news last year when 28-year-old Derick Irisha Brown led lawmen on chase before crashing into an innocent motorist and then into a sheriff’s SUV. Brown’s three children were in the vehicle during the pursuit and crash but were not injured.

My question is, was she ever even IN?
Surely, she didn't just get probation for a kidnapping conviction...did she???

*ETA: Never mind. Just found out her trial is set for next month.
Well, it was set for next month, anyway.

She ain't going anywhere now.

Me either. And that's what I am thinking...she takes Cupcake bc she is his daughter, which in her mind gives it validation, in turn he gets a little girl. Ugh, saying that just made me cringe. MOO
 
Here is why Derick was released and eventually recharged. I just don’t know what happened after this. Other than what we heard today.

The incident happened July 13, 2018 and Brown was charged then with three counts of kidnapping, second-degree assault, attempting to elude and four counts of reckless endangerment. Her lawyer argued that she could not be charged with kidnapping because there was no court order mandating she not have her children.

The kidnapping charges were dismissed in November 2018, but a Jefferson County grand jury in January indicted her on the three felony kidnapping charges, according to court records made public Thursday.

Brown’s lawyer successfully argued in a 2018 motion that it was undisputed Brown’s children had been placed with a paternal relative of the children on the day before the alleged kidnapping following a meeting between Brown and DHR. While a “safety plan” was developed and enacted, the attorney argued that Family Court was not involved in that plan and therefore there was no legal order prohibiting Brown from having her children.
