Oxford OPP are still searching for James Edward Blakley and are now calling his disappearance suspicious.

SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - Oxford OPP are still searching for James Edward Blakley and are now calling his disappearance suspicious.

Blakley has been missing since August 30th. He was last spotted getting into a taxi, heading towards Tillsonburg, leaving his home on Brownsville Road in South-West Oxford. Oxford OPP seek help in suspicious missing persons case

James Edward Blakley, 41, was last seen on Aug. 30, 2019.
As circumstances surrounding the male’s disappearance are considered suspicious, the investigation is being conducted by members of the Oxford County OPP major crime unit and OPP West Region criminal operations,” police wrote in a release.

Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.

I'm only speculating of course but I would assume suspicious might be used if the missing person had upcoming plans or appointments that they've missed, or if all their usual patterns of interaction were to suddenly stop, such as social media use, and/or if their banking activity suddenly stops.

Another reason might be that their residence was left unlocked or with the door open, or they left pets inside, unfed.

This is my township and I go to that mall all the time. I wonder what could have happened to him. Was he last seen getting in the taxi or at the mall? I've seen both.

If it was August 30th, that's a Friday. Friday evenings the bank inside that mall usually has a long lineup of people with their paycheques. I wonder if that's what he was doing.
