RUMNEY, N.H. — A couple from Rumney who were last seen in Texas are missing, relatives said.

Family members said James and Michelle Butler are full-time recreational vehicle travelers. A sheriff's department in Texas said the two were last seen around noon Oct. 14 at a park in Corpus Christi.

Relatives said the Butlers checked in with them almost daily since leaving New Hampshire until last week. It's believed they were heading to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The two were driving a silver Chevrolet pickup truck with New Hampshire license plate 373-8968. The truck was pulling an RV.

Trying to recall if it was ever determined if AN and ACW had married or not....I know she used his last name on several things. There is also a AW with a warrant in Utah. Just curious because if they did marry wouldn't that prevent her from being forced to testify against ACW ? Just curious ....

Texas added new charges: aggravated sexual assault (3 counts), aggravated assault against public servant, aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, interference with public duties, + public intoxication.

I highly doubt these are Utah’s charges being added to Texas because states do not prosecute other state’s crimes. In Utah, he has 2 different cases he failed to show up for including: assaults, object rape, forcible sodomy, forcible sexual assault, etc. Utah would prosecute its own crimes.

Given these new charges, was he drunk in Mexico and ended up being still drunk in TX, assaulting a cop with a weapon in Mexico (public servant), resisting arrest, hitting the worker (peace officer) while being booked? AND, where are these 3 aggravated sexual assault counts coming from??? If Amanda, that would mean she talked + flipped. If not Amanda, then this murder was not a peaceful one and it could get real ugly once the new complaint is filed explaining why he’s being charged with these new counts! This could get worse.

I thought they were just shot; I never imagined this scenario even knowing about his Utah charges. Maybe because he was with his GF + her kid. Charges make sense if they were both assaulted. How would they figure this sexual assault so soon with decomposed bodies? This case is too much...I hope it’s just they were shot in head, anything more is reaching Ted Bundy gruesome level.

Charges are from Utah however the theft charge is from Texas for the truck and RV. These have all been stated.

That seems likely - that he assumed Mexico was the wild west where police are corrupt and incompetent, and that he could continue a life of crime without interference. He probably also assumed that he could not be extradited to Texas because of capital murder law. He's a stupid man who thought he had all his ducks in a row without realizing that he's missing half of the ducks.

Since I see that both of you have been following this case on the North Padre Island Facebook page, I have a question and thoughts. Do you recall the search for the Toyota Tacoma? I recall that the RV blogger with the drone had captured it close to the Butler RV. It seemed that ACW had been using the Tacoma. With so much attention put to it, I wonder if it was ever found.

I'm still confused about the trucks, if plates were changed, who drove what to where and when.

As long as LE has all of the details my confusion doesn't really matter. 'Just hope LE has/develops everything they need for prosecution.

The Butlers' vehicles had the Butlers' New Hampshire plates on them when they crossed the border on October 21.

The suspects registered their vehicles at the Padre Park Campground on October 13. On Oct 17, 18 and 19, their vehicles were reported as abandoned at the Bingo Hall.

The victims left the RV Park on Oct 15 and moved to the beach. They planned to stay there for a week or two. Last communication from them was Oct 16.

It looks like the suspects murdered the victims on Oct 16/17. One of the suspects drove their vehicles to the Bingo Hall, and the other suspect drove the victims' truck to the Bingo Hall. The suspects' vehicles were abandoned, and they returned to the beach in the victims' truck.

On Oct 19 the suspects left the beach driving the victim's truck and camper.

On Oct 21 they crossed the border driving the victims' vehicles that had the victims' license plates.

This has been a question of mine for awhile.... where is the Tacoma? Who did it belong to? Why was it mentioned and along with two men being seen trying to hook up to the RV. I realize it is pure speculation however so much of what what seen by locals and RV blogger has actually been proven to be accurate so this is still something I'm keeping on the list of things to watch for in the future. Might never know ....

The POI couple left their truck 1999 Chevy Silverado and RV at the bingo parking lot leaving their own Utah plates on them. Then drove the Butler truck 2018 Chevy Silverado and RV with NH plates across the border. Hope that helps
