Hey Everyone,

I have received many requests for a new Royal Family thread.

This thread will stay open as long as you all follow terms of service.

Here is an example:
If you don't like Megan Markle you can certainly express your opinion as long as you are not rude, nasty, and in general you do not act like a jerk..if you need more of an explanation as to what this means I can't tell you anything else. If you can't discuss without crossing these boundaries then please do not post.

If someone posts something you disagree with please post and express your disagreement in a respectful manner.

Stop the nasty mean arguing.

Finally, it is not a good idea to insult the mods in any way. The mods work their behinds off for us and they keep Websleuths running. We owe them our gratitude.

The reality is Websleuths IS NOT a Democracy. In the end any final decision is on me. While I try to be fair with everyone some of you may disagree. If you do disagree please do not post about it in any thread on Websleuths.

Let's see how this goes.

Thread is now open for discussion.

Kate Middleton keeps George, Charlotte and Louis close to heart with poignant necklace

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was this week pictured wearing a poignant engraved necklace featuring the initials of children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis

This is a lovely necklace. I am sure the Duchess of Cambridge is a wonderful Mum.

Does anyone know why the press continues to call the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton? Why not just call her Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge or just her Title everyone knows who she is by now surely?

Queen's ‘favourite' Sophie Wessex will take on more royal responsibility after palace 'singled her out' to help 'ease the burden' of Megxit

It is lovely to see how well Her Majesty and the Countess of Wessex get on together. I don’t think it is fair to say Sophie is her favourite I’m sure she gets on well with the Duchess of Cambridge too.
The Countess's hair pulled back in that French Knot is so elegant. It motivates me to tighten up my style, a bit.:)

But I won't be making this tranformation any time soon! (see attached)

May I ask a very American question? Are the Royals not allowed to accept clothing for no cost, in exchange for wearing the piece in public? This is common in the U.S....where everything is commercialized.

No it’s not allowed if you are a member of the royal family they can’t accept free clothing. If any companies send clothing it gets returned with a thanks but no thanks note. Famously the Kardashians once sent free clothing from their Kardashian Kollection range to Kensington Palace for the Duchess of Cambridge hoping she would wear it and it got returned. I can’t believe they actually thought the Duchess of Cambridge would wear any of that.

I think the D of S will now be able to accept free clothing so we might see a change in her style.

Is there no snow in England and Scotland during the winter? I keep seeing the pictures of the Royal family going to church and there's lush green grass all over the place. I can tell it's probably chilly by looking at how the family and onlookers are dressed, but I'm still amazed at all the green grass in winter.

Here is a video I just finished watching on YouTube featuring a former cook for the Royal family. He was there when Diana was still alive and he tells sweet stories about the boys. No "gossip", no scandal.
Also, I love that he doesn't put vegetables in his cottage pie. For whatever reason here in Canada people feel the need to add a vegetable mix of peas, carrots, and corn to cottage pie.

There has been no snow where I live in Scotland since winter 2017. We have had hardly any frost either this winter. It is cold but it only feels really cold with the wind. I’m glad because it is treacherous walking with crutches with ice and snow.

We've probably all seen this, but in a nod to our thread title -- but nod veeeery carefuly whilst wearing your tiara, please:

It has been a v mild winter here so far in southern UK too. No snow yet, but too much rain from tail end of some big storms.

We normally add veg to our cottage pie as well (excellent way to smuggle them past children!). Also shepherd's pie, which is the same but just with lamb.

Perks of being a prince - hold the carrots!

Princess Diana’s Audi 80 Cabriolet Heading to Auction £40,000 Guide Price

This is a stunning car, one that is remembered by many of us of a certain age at the height of the Princess popularity,” said CCA specialist Simon Langsdale. Those interested in the 80 Convertible can analyze the vehicle on March 27th while the auction is set to finish on March 29th.

Let me preface this by saying I certainly don’t agree with everything written in the Daily Mail. However, I do find it strange, and not a coincidence, that MM’s visits to dog shelters, women’s shelters or old stories from Africa, come out at the same time as RF news. It’s as if she is in competition for attention, and wants to make sure people won’t forget about her. Many will not agree, but that’s the way I see it ... after all, why post things that are from the past and not current news? I think MM will continue trying to keep her name out there, saying “look at all the wonderful things I’ve done”. JMHO ...
