80 Defence Forces cadets are being trained in Covid-19 contact tracing

CADETS IN THE Defence Forces are being trained in contact tracing for the coronavirus with 20 cadets starting in the role from today.

Contact tracing is undertaken after a person has been diagnosed with Covid-19 in an effort to identify close and casual contacts the person may have had while infected.

Dr Greg Martin, a specialist in public health medicine with the HSE, has been in charge of training cadets in this area.

So far other family members are okay but may show signs earlier next week. Doctors were really sure it was Coronavirus and surprised them with the test results.

So everyone besides Coronavirus these is Influenza B and A That also are just as serious for people.

YES. Influenza, and Strep, and RSV are still active.

In fact, there is more Influenza being diagnosed because anyone with viral URI-type symptoms who gets tested for SARS-CoV-2 is also concomitantly being tested for Influenza and Strep ( or RSV if indicated by age)

Of note, the positive rates for Influenza are not increasing.
