I'm slightly surprised by this choice of location, but think it must be because it's close to all the big London specialist hospitals? What do you think Greg?

Three coronavirus cases are confirmed in the hospital nearest the Queen's Sandringham estate where the Duke of Edinburgh now lives

Possibly, I’m glad it isn’t Sandringham Her Majesty The Queen has gone to. Hopefully Her Majesty and Prince Philip won’t get the virus.

Well, Harry is divorcing an aspect of his family. And, relationships are complicated. I hope some time and space will give Will and Harry the opportunity to miss each other and remember why they liked each other.

In the DM article about the fallout, one thing I notice, from my view of Meghan’s point of view, (and I’d be pretty disheartened), but in 90% of H&M pictures Harry’s never looked more miserable, stern, etc.. this is not a good look and as a woman I’d be upset. To not make the effort when his wife obviously did is disrespectful. Jmo.

It’s one of the reasons the umbrella photo is a success... they are actually both smiling.

Makes me think Harry might be high maintenance!

If, like the article suggests Harry might like to be a fireman or rugby coach, he & Meghan could be happy especially if she wants to go back to acting or getting into the fashion world.

I think they tripped themselves up trying to compete with the Monarchy. Why leave one high pressure situation for another practically identical one? But it’s going to be a difficult road without the infrastructure of the Monarchy. It takes big bucks to run a successful Monarchy.

I get major spoiled brat vibes from PH but I vacillate between feeling sorry for him and not liking him one bit. I selfishly wish an insider would write a book detailing exactly what has been going on.

I feel sorry for him and his brother because they've never had anything close to a normal life, even for a royal. Divorce is painful enough for kids but their parents divorce played out in the taboilds for years. Their mother's death came at a difficult point in their lives and I really don't think that they should have been trotted out for a walkabout among the flowers and again following the hearse and they got shipped back to bording school

Both have been raised in an odd world of nannies, servants, staff and money so I would suggest both have been spoiled by most people's standards but one has always known he was an heir and the spare had a lot more leeway.

He enjoyed his time in the military but the media disclosed his location he worked to make his way back again so he must have some substance. Things started to unravel for him after his second tour and it may have been the structured life he needed or perhaps there was some PTSD as well. I think his personality is a lot more like his mother. During that time, he did an interview where he spoke of killing insurgants and also being expected to act like a prince. It's also when he started to speak publicly about not being comfortable with just being a prince.

I think he chose to step back and I suspect he feels he's doing the right thing but I also suspect that there is going to be a lot of discussions before the one year evaluation. If I'm not mistaken they can only legally stay in Canada for 6 months, he can only stay 90 days in the US before someone needs to make an application for a visa and the UK is a lot more gracious about allowing someone with family ties to remain in country.

In the article I read (and I haven’t read the one posted), she has moved due to staff anxiety about Coronavirus. There are less staff at Windsor, and I assume this allows the staff at Buckingham Palace to self isolate, work from home etc. It also stated that she would move to Sandringham should it worsen as there are only a handful of staff there and she would possibly live in the 5 bed cottage with Prince Phillip- so distancing herself from all staff direct contact where possible. To me this is a sensible precaution, minimising contact with lots of people.

I wonder if they'll "lock down" the staff somehow? That would be the best thing if they can. V tricky scenario for someone to manage!

Adding to my bloomer post!

The period piece movie Pretty Baby is set in New Orleans and is visually gorgeous. Imo. It shows off some of the more exquisite and delicate Victorian vintage undergarments worn in brothels!

Technically, the pair you linked and those in Pretty Baby are more Edwardian than Victorian.

Never sewn or worn an Edwardian corset, but understand the early ones are a nightmare.

The future King Edward V (hence Edwardian) and his lovely bride, Princess Mary of Teck, the future Queen Mary. As you can see, the shape of her skirt and bodice is different that those worn by Queen Victoria, either early in her life or later. Skirt shape changes tremendously. Remember how the Dowager Countess' clothing changed on Downton Abbey?

Any news about our Countess of Wessex? Concerned that she fell ill after traveling in Africa!

That is George V, not Edward....

TY for clarification Laughing!

Oh, my set was definitely Edwardian. I purchased them in a little Victorian town, though! :D

And I have a skirt, petticoat that went with it too. It’s a bit tattered. I fell in love with the delicateness and comfort of that finest cotton material. Then there are the silks and satins crepes... and wool bathing suits! I digress.

—Will be fun to review several periods, and yes, the rapid changes in design are quite amazing.

Mr Mobley told Express.co.uk: “The top contender for Princess Beatrice’s wedding day tiara is the York Tiara that her mother, Sarah Ferguson, wore on her own wedding day.”

While it would be lovely for her to wear the York tiara, I'm hoping that she wears something from deep in a vault that we haven't seen before like with Eugenie and the Greville one she wore. I think there are lots more from that Greville bequest that we haven't seen yet and I hope we get something sparkly and new to look at
