Notice in the article, counsel assisting coroner asked Ms Okpegbue if RP made a hand signal like dropping something off a boat? She doesn't remember that.
But who advised counsel about this? Does GO own a boat? Does he live near the river?
RP and 'mate' and boy drove 300km nth?!
Ms O said RP was in care for physical issues not cognitive.
Many questions...
The article was updated since I posted the link.. they drove 300km north with William?? What?? Maybe FA is trying to pin it on GO to avoid focus on what he actually did? He’s dropped hints about a dead body smell, GO being involved, etc. Maybe they removed William from Kendall quite soon after the abduction. IMO

If he is already incarcerated and at no risk would you wait for more though??
Definitely if he had anything to do with WT's disappearance. This case still needs solving and answers for what happened to him.
And FA would be charged further in this crime and if convicted of it his sentence would be more severe if it involves murder.

In your linked article, it seems that Abbott and the small boy were picked up by Ray at a shed at 'Kendall School'.

A dying man told a nurse at an aged care facility that he "didn't do anything wrong" and just "picked up his best mate with a cute little boy near a shed at Kendall school," the inquest into William Tyrrell's disappearance heard.

There is Kendall Public School - which is 2½ km away from FGM's house (about a 4 min drive). And is also on Logans Crossing Road, which I believe is the road to where Abbott (and Geoff Owen) was living at the time (?)

And there is Kendall Community Preschool - which is about the same distance away - and the route there takes me down Laurel Street (where Mr Chapman lived).

what year was this, and is this a place where Heather may have got care
Sometime after April 2019:

A dying man told a nurse at an aged care facility that he "didn't do anything wrong" and just "picked up his best mate with a cute little boy near a shed at Kendall school," the inquest into William Tyrrell's disappearance heard.

Ray Porter told Uniting Mingaletta nurse Kirston Okpegbue he was referring to "the little boy that went missing down at Kendall" in April last year, the inquest heard.
...
Asked by counsel assisting the coroner Gerard Craddock SC if Mr Porter had made a hand signal to indicate dropping something off the side of a boat, Ms Okpegbue said she didn't remember anything like that.

Mr Porter still had "capacity" at the time of the confession, and was in the facility because of physical decline not cognitive issues.

The inquest heard Mr Porter, who has since died, told Ms Okpegbue the trio then drove 300km north.

In April??? Hmmm... - sorry, misread that the boy went missing in April, where in fact RP relayed the story in April.

Wow, what next?
Surely LE had all this evidence, from these Carers, and they interviewed RP.
This would have been years ago.
MOO.

So, right after the first tranche of the inquest. A dying man's confession?

I wonder if this applies in NSW ....
A deathbed confession can be admissible evidence in court under the right circumstances. If someone confesses knowledge of a crime and then dies or their condition worsens, the law does not consider the statement to be hearsay and can be used in a criminal trial.

didnt do anything wrong grrrrrrrr and im guessing now he was on foot as Ray picked him up

Tamworth is more or less directly west, but approx same distance.
300km north literally is between Grafton and Casino. I expect if he was to be hidden, the hinterland would make more sense than the coast.
True but why did counsel asked Ms O if RP made a hand signal like something thrown off a boat? I suppose a boat could be on a river too.

Was there another witness to this conversation with RP and counsel is trying to verify the information? Or, did RP speak to another witness at another time and gave the hand signal? I've got too many questions.

It was said that Ray Porter spent the last year of his life in this care facility (Uniting Mingaletta), and we know he was alive at least until April 2019, which was reportedly the time when he disclosed this information to the two nurses separately.

Not directed to you madoodi, but someone had asked if it was possible that RP and HS had been in the same facility prior to HS's death - it seems that Ray Porter would not have been there at the same time as Heather Savage, even if HS had entered that facility at some point prior to her death after September 2014 and before April 2015 when she died.

The court is now being played a recorded phone call between Abbott and Mr Parish from August 12, 2019, while Abbott was in jail.

Mr Parish tells Abbott during the call that his friend Ray Porter had passed away.

So when did RP pass away? Between April and August 2019 presumably. I wonder if MP ever visited RP at the nursing home.
