This case infuriates me for so many reasons.
GA - Mary & Elwyn Crocker Jr, both 14, starved, beaten & buried, Effingham Cnty, 20 Dec 2018 Arrests

*Pretrial hearings for all (@ 9am ET) - GA – Mary Crocker (14) & Elwyn Crocker, Jr. (‘JR’) (14) (Mary died Oct. 18, 2018, Elwyn died about Nov. 30, 2016 & both discovered Dec. 20, 2018 buried in backyard, Guyton) - *Elwyn John Crocker, Sr. (50) (“father”) arrested (12/20/18), charged (1/29/19), indicted (3/12/19) & arraigned (4/17/19) with 2 counts of felony murder, 2 counts of 1st degree concealing the death of another & 2 counts of 1st degree cruelty to children. Plead not guilty. No bond.
3/5/19: Preliminary hearing. Case will now go to the Grand Jury. 3/12/19: Indicted for Mary’s & JR’s death. See below for rest of info.
*Candice Heather Crocker (33) (“step-mom”) arrested (12/20/18), charged (1/29/19), indicted (3/18/19) & arraigned (4/17/19) with 2 counts of felony murder, 2 counts of 1st degree concealing the death of another, 2 counts of 1st degree cruelty to children & 3 counts of drug possession. Plead not guilty. No bond.

10/3/19: Kim Wright filed in May for a change of venue for her trial. Court documents show Wright is requesting a location similar to Effingham County. The judge has not ruled on the request. See below for rest info.

Plead not guilty. No bond.

Wright — a brother of Elwyn Sr.'s wife, Candice overheard a family discussion about Mary's death and called an aunt, who tipped off authorities. Judge F. Gates Peed has also imposed a gag order prohibiting attorneys and investigators from discussing the case outside court.
12/20/18: Welfare check & possible missing juvenile discovered bodies. Mary was last seen Oct. 2018 & Elwyn (JR) died about Nov. 30, 2016. Neither had been official reported missing.
3/12/18 Judge imposes gag order. All were indicted for Mary’s murder. Elwyn, Candice & Kimberly Wright were also indicted for Elwyn JR’s death. All have Arraignment hearings in April 17. 4/17/19: All plead not guilty. Next pretrial hearing for all on 8/6/19.
12/18/19 Update: The superior court clerk says a second chair public defender still has to be found for the accused, and that she doesn’t anticipate another hearing on the case until late January, early February at the earliest.

ETA - To clarify, first I try the Effingham County Superior Court Clerk records. Then I throw the court number out on the web and see what pops up. That's how I found some PDF files where some of the case dates were shown.

Death penalty sought in Crocker case

According to an ajc.com report, prosecutors have filed notice that they intend to seek the death penalty for those charged in the deaths of Mary Crocker and her brother Elwyn Crocker Jr. The state capitol defender’s office confirmed the report Thursday.

The defendants facing murder charges and the death penalty are the children’s father, Elwyn Crocker Sr., his wife, Candice Crocker, Candice Crocker’s mother, Kim Wright, and Candice Crocker’s brother, Tony Wright. All pleaded not guilty and are set to appear for an arraignment hearing Feb. 19.

Wright — a brother of Elwyn Sr.'s wife, Candice overheard a family discussion about Mary's death and called an aunt, who tipped off authorities. Judge F. Gates Peed has also imposed a gag order prohibiting attorneys and investigators from discussing the case outside court.
12/20/18: Welfare check & possible missing juvenile discovered bodies. Mary was last seen Oct. 2018 & Elwyn (JR) died about Nov. 30, 2016. Neither had been official reported missing.
3/12/18 Update: Judge imposes gag order. All were indicted for Mary’s murder. Elwyn, Candice & Kimberly Wright were also indicted for Elwyn JR’s death. All have Arraignment hearings in April 17. 4/17/19: All plead not guilty. Next pretrial hearing for all on 8/6.
12/18/19 Update: The superior court clerk says a second chair public defender still has to be found for the accused, and that she doesn’t anticipate another hearing on the case until Feb. 4th.
2/4/20 Update: Elwyn Crocker, Sr., Candice Crocker, Kimberly Wright, and Mark Wright went before Judge F. Gates. Tuesday's defendants except Prater will be back in court for arraignment Feb. 19. A fifth suspect, Roy Prater is also charged in the case of one of the children's death. 2/6/20: DA will seek death penalty for everyone except Prater.
This is scheduled for court today.
The state of Georgia is asking for a harsher penalty for four of the five defendants, so they all need to be arraigned again.

Haven't seen any news but suspect everything is on hold because of the virus.
This alert was on the Effingham County website. I expect the suspension will be extended through the month of April at the earliest. The Peachcourt site mentioned in the alert has not been updated since January. We already know the results of the February hearing. Because of the gag order, the local news outlets is probably our best bet for any breaking news.
