Kate Middleton, Prince William and other royals publicly mark Captain Tom Moore's 100th birthday

Thursday was a very special day for Captain Tom Moore, the war veteran who has raised over £31million for NHS Charities Together. Not only did he celebrate his 100th birthday, but he was also promoted to Honorary Colonel by the Queen.

Captain Tom aimed to raise £1000 for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden in his Bedfordshire home ahead of his birthday. On the morning of his special day, the total had reached a whopping £30million and is still climbing hours before the donations page closes at midnight.

In honour of his incredible achievement and reaching a huge personal milestone, members of the royal family have been sending Captain Tom their birthday wishes.

there was a lawsuit. There sure was not social media like now
Social media was around then too. DC put up with a lot family jokes in re to her mom and dad working for an airplane company. The difference is how the two women act. One has been calm and mature and the other is all over the place with dishonesty and drama. MOO

Coronavirus: Princess Charlotte pictured helping those in need ahead of fifth birthday on Saturday
Princess Charlotte has been pictured helping to deliver meals to elderly and vulnerable people at home in lockdown.

Princess Charlotte is turning five on Saturday, and her big day has been marked with the release of four photos of her volunteering for those in need.

In the pictures captured by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, the young royal can be seen carrying bags of fresh food due to be delivered to elderly and vulnerable people in lockdown in Norfolk.

One picture shows her knocking on the door of an elderly resident while clutching a bag of fresh pasta that she had made with her parents and brothers, Prince George, six, and Prince Louis, two, the day before.

The final photo shows her smiling directly at the camera in a portrait shot.

Such a little cutie!

What lovely photos

She looks very much like Her Majesty, The Queen, to me. And maybe a bit like her grandfather, Prince Philip.

That closeup photo taken by her mother is very good. It captures...something, very interesting... about her personality. I think she is going to be the most fun royal child to watch as she grows up.

As the Irish might say, she looks like she has the devil in her! Bags of mischief I bet and lots of fun, bless her

New book reveals the dramas inside the walls of Kensington Palace | Daily Mail Online

She is nice to her staff, in the main, and she was very warm towards Meghan when she arrived.

'But tensions were bound to arise because Meghan inevitably had to accept that, although she is a duchess, she is not married to the next king.

'I think she has found that difficult to deal with.

'And although Harry loved their cottage in the grounds, Meghan was conscious that it was tiny in comparison to the vast apartment complex where Kate and William live.'

Meghan, another insider agreed, was affected by her new status.

'Being a royal goes to everyone's head eventually — and after a while, William and Harry would meet without their wives in tow to avoid rows and stony silences.'

But what exactly triggered Harry and Meghan's move to Windsor?

'Kate was horrified when Meghan shouted at a member of Kate's staff — that was definitely the beginning of discussions about leaving Kensington Palace,' the former servant continues.

'Like many people not used to dealing with servants, Meghan overdoes the imperiousness; so on the one hand she wants to be like Diana, a people's princess, and on the other she wants people to stand to attention when she clicks her fingers.'

From the viewpoint of many of the palace staff, she was the dominant partner in the marriage. As Harry has said himself: 'What Meghan wants, Meghan gets'.

Sounds like a 100% turnover of staff is needed.
