Yes I did see the NF MySpace previously but I’m far from convinced. Answering your question, I would assume there would probably be only one NF in portugal.....BUT anyone can make a page in any name & add photos of anyone! I don’t think that is a photo of N & R (I could be wrong though). I don’t think you can assume Romans surname is Scott based on finding a MySpace page under the name S & NF?
It’s not even as though it has the same photos as the MySpace NF page you linked.

There was also the crowdfunding link for an orphanage, which was started by a Roman Scott. But I have to agree that there is so little evidence of him anywhere that it may be wrong or made up

I saw someone earlier had posted saying the DS associated with the phone number was only 15. Not saying it has any relevance whatsoever, but I know of a few folk around my own hometown that were put on their family’s assets while underage to avoid tax....

Around my own city it would simply be impossible. And what would you do in respect of a local small town. Close the auto bahn?

Let's be a bit realistic

I didn't say to close borders. But being so close to the Border, it wouldn't have cost a penny to radio through and alert them to MM. Have every driver open their boot before exiting the country. Just a few seconds for every vehicle check. Every Police Force in the World KNOWS about the vital hours immediately following the disappearance of a child. To act fast during them 1st hours is their best opportunity of recovering the child alive. Instead, those officers diverted in the opposite direction for almost an hour So wether MM was in the vicinity of the Ocean Club at the time the call to LE was made, She was certainly not around by the time they did arrive.. The abductor was basically handed extra time IMO. Portuguese officials swept reported crimes under the carpet in order to protect the Tourist Industry and they were more angry at the bad press caused by MM disappearance than they were with the fact that some sicko was stealing children from their beds at night!
If this seems like a rant to anybody, you all should know- I am actually lost for words! X

Roads blocks are vital when a toddler vanishes in an overseas Country, especially one that is infamous in child sex trafficking! The police were not interested from the get go. They must have known WHY they had been called to an emergency at The Ocean Club. But whilst en route, another call came in for a suspected burglary taking place miles away.. The 1st error in the emergency of MM was made right then, when them officers performed a U-turn and drove miles out to an alarm that was sounding! The rest is history! Bas*#@+* X

This is how we want the Police to act - to be proactive and take everything seriously. When in fact (as I keep repeating, sorry) the Dad along the coast in Portugal who apprehended the man who was scoping out/photographing children at a pool and had a scuffle with him, held him until the Police arrived, but the Police didn't arrive until the next day. That is in reality how it works over there.

ETA: Albania may actually have been where CB was headed when he was apprehended in Italy. As Albania is not in the Schengen zone he would have needed a passport to get there which may be why he needed to take the risk of applying for a replacement one.

Apparently she was Russian/German and she ran off with two Ucranians. She was found back in Algoz.

Should be an interesting couple of days. CB's appeal against the extradition/rape charge today, the update on German TV tonight about the phone calls, then the sexta 9 piece tomorrow about NF. Just hope something significant comes out of them.

Ok this isn't directed specifically @MENDEL but should give some pause here:
- Jayme Closs: 13yr old American girl taken forcibly from her home at gun point by a deranged killer who literally blew her father away through the front door, then took out the mother who'd been clutching her daughter in the bathtub trying to call police. The killer literally drove right past police with the child in his car. Police didn't notice him as they went to the scene. She was held captive about 80 days or so before she bravely forged her own escape. She was held about an hour or so from home in a place she'd never been to, and had been hidden under her killers bed which had been barricaded to keep her securely inside. At times, sleuths here thought maybe she'd been taken on an ATV because there was initially so little to go on.

- Tori Stafford was I think 8 years old from Ontario, Canada. Her abductors took her from just after school and drove immediately away with her. If I'm not mistaken, they stopped at a Home Depot along the way to where they'd eventually kill her with one going in the store and the other sitting in the car with the surely terrified kid. The place where they killed and eventually left her was not close to home and was an hour or more away.


I'm just saying, anything is possible. Its totally possible MM's abductor walked past people, drove past people... we simply don't know.

The statement that RS was Italian is coming from the property owner who they rented from for 7 sevens.

Not that easy, DLK. When alarm sounds, you can count on every police car and every police station to be informed in real time. Nothing an abductor can control and he'll expect erratic behavior by police. No abductor will feel very safe driving anywhere after those crucial 30min (If I wrote a detective story about abduction I wouldn't imagine it perfect a criminal driving more than half an hour). IMHO.

ETA: That's more likely 1h30min. as he'd more probably use as many secondary roads as possible especially to avoid Silves and Algoz (both almost a must on Google itinerary after excluding highways).

I think in a tourist destination like PDL is,. Nobody is going to look twice at a passing vehicle if it is being driven properly at 10pm. Especially not the LE, who should have been hurtling towards the Ocean Club. But also, if as suspected, MM had been targeted and the apartment scoped out, I think the abductor knew the timeline of the Tapas 9 moving back and forth between the villa and restaurant. He would have made his move immediately after watching the McCanns check the kids and leave again. If he got in and out fast enough, he would have known that the alarm could only be raised at the next check in say, half an hour. Whoever did this had been watching and knew them babies were alone. And that he had time to make a clean getaway X
