Two volunteers with the Friends of Deckers Creek, were cleaning a camp site along the Rail-Trail when they discovered what they believed to be human remains inside of an old coke oven in a wooded area near the Rail-Trail, police said.

Depending on how long the remains have been there, could this be a possibility?

In short: Mother and daughter dissappear from Jane Lew. One dog found dead at the house. One dog found alive near Stonewall Jackson Lake. Purse with items of both also near Stonewall Jackson Lake. Car found in Clarksburg. Stonewall Jackson Lake is south of the home, Clarksburg is north of the home. Morgantown is further up north.
 
According to a press release that was issued by police on Monday, officers with the Morgantown Police Department responded to a wooded area near the Decker’s Creek Rail-Trail and the I-68 overpass for reported human remains found inside an abandoned coke oven on October 7, 2020.

The release stated that police have identified the deceased as Brandy Cullum, 26, of Parkersburg. Police said Cullum was reported missing on September 4, 2020.

The release stated that the West Virginia State Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death to be from natural causes resulting from a pre-existing medical condition. Therefore, the investigation into this incident has been closed, according to police. Bbm
