Why would that shock you?Thank you, that's exactly what I was seeking.
I’m a little shocked the Prosecution didn’t strike her.

I agree. It is curious that the state did have as their expert witnesses, a Pulmonologist , but not a Cardiologist. I anticipate a Cardiologist on the stand for the defense, no doubt.
And, I can imagine that GF was not so compliant to go follow up with requested and suggested appointments with doctors after his discharge from the hospital.
Truth1.I still am concerned that MANY do not still understand the term asphxia. Many still believe it is shutting of airways. Vs. no oxygen in blood for the heart and brain to function.... due to positional and compression.... of even more than airways including knee on neck etc etc... (RIP Kyle on another thread who just yesterday won a lawsuit for positional aspyxia.. OH - Kyle Plush, 16, dies after being crushed by minivan seat & two 911 calls, Cincinnati, Apr 2018 )
After so long, still appears confusion even with WS folks.
I hope the last two days of prosecution experts DRILL THIS INTO FOLKS moo. (as expected defense may start on Tuesday/Wednesday from comments made.. MOO)
Hopefully, the deliberations will have more success in educating folks.
MOO
I had to go back and listen to Dr. Baker both direct and cross again given many commentators thought that Nelson did so well. After re-listening Dr. Baker is inconsistent ...one minute pressure on back and yet cause of death compression on neck? Re-listening also pointed out to me that his basic heart condition was challenged by the interaction beyond its capacity...Dr. Baker is not going with asphyxia as the state wants. I have to think about this now.
It may be posted here somewhere, but would you be so kind as to let me know how to watch Lane’s BCA interview please? TIA.
No. That is not the way "emergency care" works. You get treatment for the ICD diagnosis that got you admitted. Not comprehensive medical treatment or diagnostic tests. That is the way Medicaid works, if Floyd was even eligible for anything.

My impression of Dr. Baker was his top priority at the time of autopsy was to save the county money from a ginormous law suit.
His face is so red when he testifies, he has that oh crap, I'm caught look.
Based on what I was able to watch, I don't know why the neck obstruction information is such a big deal. There is a HUGE difference between obstruction and compression. Obstruction is irrelevant. His airway didn't need to be obstructed for him to have his lungs compressed to the point he could not expand them to effectively breathe.
I don't think anyone on the jury is dumb enough to confuse obstruction and compression.
Nelson knows his client is fu**ed. The best he can hope for is the lesser of the charges.
I'm with you. I want to see what the defense comes up with in this case. It may not be enough for reasonable doubt but we will see. JMOThe defense has not presented their case. DC has a legal right to present his side.
I certainly want to hear the entire case. I would think/hope each juror would NOT make a decision without hearing all evidence. The judge questioned the jurors on this.
Moo...
Yes, that's exactly what happened. He stopped breathing about five minutes after they started kneeling on his neck and back, and after that they couldn't find a pulse. CPR wasn't started until about five minutes later when he was in the ambulance. That's about 4 or 5 minutes of potentially no oxygen getting to the brain.True, unless the heart stopped pumping. Then there isn't any blood going anywhere

If they had revived him and he had lived but suffered minimal brain damage, Chauvin still could have been charged with felony assault.

That’s a great thought! Wonder if we will hear anything from that hospital stay.
I bet Baker wishes he could plead the 5th. I don't think he expected the video evidence to lead to the outcry for justice that it did.
I think its possible he may be disciplined by whatever medical board oversees his area of medicine. And I expect he will quietly disappear in order to prevent a more expansive look at his work in police brutality cases. I do not see him as unbiased in his work.
