Have you seen her? Police searching for mother of 3 missing for several days

From the above article:

• Erica is a mother of three, and has been missing since Sunday morning.
• She was at a friend’s house Saturday evening, then left to drop her car off at home so that her daughter could take it to work on Sunday at 5am, according to family members.
• She was last seen near Hwy 288 and the Beltway driving a black GMC Acadia, according to investigators.
• According to her family, her friend texted her to see if she made it back home, and Erica told her she was 5 minutes away. No one has heard from her since.
• Erica's family thinks something may have happened to her because it's not likely that she would have left her 19yo daughter without a vehicle for work.
• According to family members, Erica's phone records show a call was made at 2:50am from her cell phone to a number they didn't recognize.

The wording is a bit strange. "She left to go drop her car off at home".

This to me implies that she was not planning on staying at home and that someone else was following her to take her back after she "dropped" off the car for her daughter? But the article also says a friend texted to see if she made it home. And she supposedly said she was 5 minutes away. Who was watching the kids? The daughter?

Is this just worded weird?

The article below has since been updated to include a video, and additional information:

[...]

“There is an Aggie mom sticker on the back of the vehicle, it has a white outline and is transparent in the middle,” said Texas EquuSearch Volunteer Angelina Farris.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Houston Police Department at (832) 394-1840 or call Texas EquuSearch at (281) 309-9500.

Texas EquuSearch has searched the area where Hernandez was last seen with no results so far.

Good morning swanniee11! BBM that’s why I thought she was seen driving her vehicle. I agree reporting is confusing! Praying she comes home soon and safe.

Let's Find Erica Hernandez
According to the help find FB She went to her brothers to drop off food and left here at 8:16pm on 4/17. She was to take her kids home then go to a friends house. I'm assuming that did happen since the kids are home and she was reported missing after she left the friends. She is listed as last seen at 2:45am. IMO

Erica Hernandez hasn't been seen since the early morning hours of April 17 when she left a friend's house in the 6000 block of Benning Drive in southwest Houston.

"We called the hospitals, we asked for her name and asked for Jane Doe's nothing," said Eldia Hernandez, Erica's sister-in-law. "We're all frustrated. We're all in disbelief because this is not like her. This is not her routine. Her kids are her world, and she would never ever leave her kids."

Texas EquuSearch continue search for mother of 3 reported missing days ago (click2houston.com)
[...]

On Saturday morning, Texas EquuSearch crews as the search continue searched wooded areas along FM 2234 in Fort Bend County hoping to find Hernandez.

“None of the leads, none of the tips, none of the things that have come in, nothing in the investigation as of yet is certainly all have been dead ends,” Miller said.

Hernandez’s family believes something may have happened to her because she is not likely to have left her 19-year-old daughter without a vehicle to take to work.

[...]

Crews ended their search Saturday afternoon but will come back out to the area tonight and continue looking for the car.

Does anybody know the terrain and types of buildings (if any) in the McHard and Fort Bend Tollway area where she was last believed to be? Waterways? Flat land? I'm wondering if they've put a helicopter up there to look for that big SUV she was driving. I guess it's possible that she had an accident while texting or drifted off to sleep and went off the road.
