Especially when there were on return busses until morning. She would have had to find somewhere to go in the cold most of the night. She isn't old enough to go to the casino and not much is open that late. It is not the safest of areas both naturally and crime wise.

I am on the fence about what happened to her but I did want to point out there are additional possibilities aside from buses such as Uber or Lyft.

Last I knew you could walk through the Seneca Niagara Casino underage because it is connected to a hotel/restaurants. Maybe someone can confirm if that is still the case as I haven't been there in a while but there was actually a path for underage people to walk on straight through the Casino.

Agree, it is not the safest area both naturally and crime wise. It would have been cold and blustery there...was it also icy I wonder?

I feel like most of the possibilities here sadly (but realistically IMO) do not seem to point to a good outcome for this beautiful young girl. One worries but also, one hopes.

If it is known to LE that she did meet with another person (and I think they would know this through phone records) then I hope they relay that information to the public as I personally would deem it useful.

If she was going to meet someone there will be some kind of trail of communications. I get the feeling she went there with no intention of returning. Many people with suicidal thoughts still live life as usual until they choose the time. It may seem strange to others that someone would make future plans, hand in assignments ect but unfortunately in most cases that’s what happens. I’m really hoping she is just taking a break though.

Unfortunately, as we've seen in recent cases, such communication may happen over FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat etc. which leaves no easy trail to follow. I'm thinking of Mekayla Bali, Jason Landry where it's just a complete blank.

I must have missed where it was reported that she wasn't captured on camera? She made a snap of the falls, so she must have been where she could see them.

She wasn’t captured on camera at the falls but to get that picture she would have HAD to have passed at least 9 of them
That also could be a stock pick
You can search back and see what color the light that night were and see if it matches the picture
They are usually lit for a cause
Aka pink for breast cancer
Red white and blue for American holidays
Rainbow for lbgt etc

iirc she's from the Bronx, which is just 10 miles from Yonkers. This area would be familiar to her if this is where she grew up.

Bronx actually borders Yonkers. I don't know where she lived in the Bronx - some neighborhoods would be quite far, but other Bronx neighborhoods are next to Yonkers.

A large group of about 60 searchers combed through Niagara Falls State Park on Sunday, looking for 19-year-old Saniyya Dennis.

NFTA video, according to authorities, shows her inside of the downtown bus terminal. However, that video has not been released.

A New York State Police helicopter, as well as a bloodhound and another K-9 tracking dog, were assisting searchers this weekend. We don’t know if they found anything.

Family and friends were joined by volunteers in the search along Goat Island. Hotel cameras were checked. It's unclear if anything was seen involving this case.

Buffalo State University Police says Saniyya was last seen leaving her dorm on April 24. She then headed toward Elmwood Avenue, and police later said there’s a video of her at a bus terminal.

Dennis’ family has been critical of police efforts so far and City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown.

Mayor Brown said he met with Saniyya’s parents offering his support and that of the Buffalo Police Department.

The family of Saniyya Dennis, a Buffalo State College sophomore who's been missing for over a week, pleaded with authorities and the public to help them in their search.

Dennis, 19, was last seen on April 24 leaving her residence hall around 11:30 p.m., according to University Police. Investigators later revealed that Dennis' phone pinged off of a cell tower near Niagara Falls State Park around 1:23 a.m. April 25.

The family told reporters that they were alerted by one of Dennis' friends that she may have gotten on a bus to Niagara Park.

Just before the news conference ended, the police acknowledged they had security video from the bus depot that showed Dennis and they were only able to get her cellphone records on April 27.

"We combed the whole park, even places where she was nowhere near, putting up flyers. The dogs came out yesterday, and today they had the helicopter for the search," the rapper, whose real name is Calvin Byrd, told WGRZ-TV on Saturday (May 1).

That would mean she either visited at least two different days or one is a stock picture.

ETA: Can different areas be lit different colors? It looks like two angles from the same location, the pink is on the "right," so maybe it is the same day. But it does look like shot from a "regular" POV, nothing professional/stock image-like about it.

Saniyya Dennis, 19, was last seen on video at 11:02 p.m. April 24 inside her residence hall on campus.

Roughly 2 hours and 19 minutes, her cell phone pinged a tower near Niagara Falls State Park, about 17 miles away.

Officials believe she may have taken the bus there.

Police say there is no evidence of foul play at this time.

"Since that day no cell phone or electronic activity, no financial activity, no other communication with family or friends," Chief of University Police Peter Carey said.

I've been following. Very worried about this young woman. Saniyya appears to have a very close family, is responsible, and intelligent.

I believe I heard her sister say in the PC, that Saniyya has two jobs? Even if it's one job, that plus engineering studies is a very heavy load. Back in the day when I was studying Arch, with Eng....we had no time for anything else, not even a half decent social life.

I worry that she may have become overwhelmed, but that perfectionism prevented her from taking a break until something broke. (It happened to me (not in school but professionally), and others I knew, who kept at it because we were stubbornly working crazy hours without rest.

May Saniyya be found safe, ...please.

So, like in other cases, I've tried to map some things out.

NFTA route 40A isn't that close to Bishop Hall. It's 1.3 miles away (a 25-minute walk). Google Maps Transit routing starts at the Rockwell Rd/Buffalo State College bus stop (a five-minute walk), boarding NFTA 32A, and then transferring to 40A. On Saturday 4/24, the bus schedule leaves Rockwell/BSC at 11:06 p.m. and ends at Rainbow Rd./1st St. at 12:07 a.m. Then it's a 12-minute walk to Goat Island, but because it's a ping, not she may not necessarily have been on the island itself. It was reported that Saniyya's mother received a text at 12:20 a.m. Sunday apologizing for missing a phone call. Specific directions list is what I used.

Where did you see this? It’s interesting. I don’t know that I’ve ever known a family to express that.

Gray Hughes had a video about her case which was taken down. I think it's best to comply with the family's wishes.

I didn’t see all of the pictures because I don’t have Snapchat. Can you post them here? I can tell you exactly where they were taken from and get a better idea if they were live. The lights often cycle thru many colors on the same night, sometimes in time with music. Without much tourist traffic due to Covid I don’t believe the music is on but I can certainly find out what colors they were on that night and if they are turned off at a specific time.
