Re photoman. I live in a small village. The number of people who take sneaky photos of suspicious people using their phones is huge. Did we find out where the photo came from?

Some of the articles add new info and keep all the old info, some if it chopped up badly. So I cannot tell, but are the authorities still seeking info about photo man? Are there still televised pleas? That might be a hint.

Purely speculation and MOO, but I have a feeling CW has learning difficulties.

ETA - I’m thinking back to the Karina Vetrano case. The perp CL was a young local man with learning difficulties, he was angry due to an incident at home and was roaming the local park. He stumbled upon Karina and took his anger out on her. Complete stranger, no connection whatsoever, wrong place/wrong time.

I’m not sure why I’m making a connection back to Karinas case, it’s just a feeling. CL had zero online thumbprint, just like CW. Also, if he had any sort of online presence, the Daily Mail would be all over it by now.

JMO.

RIP Julia :(

He had a long standing hatred for women-once telling a teacher he wanted to stab every girl in the school & the fact he sexually assaulted her means his overarching motive was sexual gratification. I mean we have all had incidents at home that left us angry-but we didn't go out & rape & murder a woman or the first person we encountered. He was a time bomb waiting to explode & his 'learning difficulties' had nothing to do with his behaviour. He knew full well what he was doing-he even wore a condom to try to rape her in an attempt to hide his DNA.

If this is fact and not hearsay it begs the question why he wasn't brought in sooner, though a tip off or police records.
Instead a photo was released of someone in the area the day after, name unknown, may or may not know something, which in the surface feels like a stab in the dark.

Jim Bob was talking about another case not this one

I don’t think jimbob’s comment was about Julia’s alleged killer.

I worked with teens/young adults with learning disabilities for a number of years, and while it’s true that some can have aggression and behavioural issues, it’s almost always short-lived and reactive. Ie, there’s a trigger, that creates an emotion, that overwhelms the individual and so they react with violence. And because that violence usually gets a big reaction in settings like home/school, it becomes a pattern of behaviour they go back to in order to try and control whatever the triggering situation was to begin with.

It’s hard to imagine many likely scenarios where a person with LD simply attacks a stranger at random like in this case, unless the victim had perhaps spoken with him and said something to trigger a reaction.

Just wanted to share, as I know sometimes stories like this can make people afraid of folks with LD, and it really shouldn’t!

Learning disabilities in general are kind of a minefield in the legal system - I once had a client who’d been arrested for a vandalism offence, interviewed by police on his own etc, as he presented as a fairly typical 18 year old boy.
He actually had the understanding and language of a 4 year old, but nobody picked up on that!

From those very little things we know about the charged it appears the motive could be literally anything at this stage. We need more facts and details to even speculate

Edited by me: just adding that im totally clueless as to what to think still. So puzzling

JJ worked at the “Vulnerability Investigation Team” at Canterbury police station. That team would have had contact with a number of mentally disabled local people.

Wheeler might have met her through that if he does have a severe impairment.

Also reminder that the Wheeler house is about a kilometre from a psychiatric hospital that specialises in learning disabilities.
