I think with the vast and decorated credentials and experience MK and CM bring to the table, even if they are retired, I’m sure LE has a mutual respect and trust towards them as former investigators. I wouldn’t be surprised if LE gave them an overview of the case for their insight. This would include divulging evidence gathered, tips, theories, etc.

MK and CM are in what I deem to be “active” retirement. They continue to apply their skillset by having their Profiling Evil YT channel and involvement in the Cold Case organization CM is a part of. They are not necessarily a part of the everyday investigative teams on any one case or getting paid a full-time salary anymore, but they have a lot to offer to any case they get invested in. I know I would gladly welcome their expertise if I was LE.

It has been pretty obvious all along that they have insider information that they need to keep under wraps. CM disclosing he knew of SM’s affair 5 months ago doesn’t surprise me. On MK’s latest YT video he was asked if the “5” he always alludes to refer to BM’s 5 trash stops. MK put on a wide grin and told the viewer to email him about it. He didn’t answer the question and moved on (though previously CM had stated that the 5 refers to trees!).

In the video with Tricia & Aimee last night where CM was a guest, CM also wondered if the information about the “purchases” had come out in court yet. Specifically about the chlorine tabs and 50lb bag of cornfeed (I think that’s what it’s called).

So yes, they have insider knowledge that I believe has been entrusted to them due to their impressive credentials. We have definitely only just begun to hear about the terabytes of information LE has gathered.

Well, despite the experience CM and MK bring to the table, all I can say is I hope you're dead wrong, and they were never given any kind of insider information from the LE that lead this investigation. To me, that smacks of serious unprofessionalism (and I don't have that impression of either of them), and potentially even an action that jeopordizes the integrity of the investigation. Especially now that Chris is on youtube talking about it.

Whatever CM and MK know or knew or think they know or knew, hopefully did NOT come from LE.

They even had documented when the gear shift was moved and when tail lights came on. I bet they know exactly if the reset worked.

Oooooo I can't wait for the trial!!

I know LE knows about it but the thread was stating that perhaps BM was checking to see if the reset worked and I was wondering how he would do that. I drive old cars so I have no idea what you can do with new cars.

Random idea from reading this: what if he's trying to claim that SM was sinning or about to sin (divorce, pain drugs he disdained) and that by her dying before going too far astray, she remained "saved". MOO
Agree. I just don't see Barry as a religious man. Jihad *advertiser censored*, Ashley Madison, searching for young Salida girls are not exactly virtuous attributes. In my opinion this was all about power and control. If he couldn't have Suzanne... no one would. Don't listen to what he says it's what he does that matters.

Ha! You did well.

That sounds exactly right. I’m sure that everyone reacts differently, and weight is a major factor when it comes to dosage too.

So it’s entirely possible that all he had to do was tranquilize her. I definitely expect to hear a lot more on this during the next session.

I believe Suzanne was pretty tiny and her immune system was still weak from the chemo. It's possible even a small dose could have caused her lungs to stop working. An allergic reaction is also possible.

Exactly!!

The positional systems used with cell phones — GPS and cell tower triangulation — are simply incapable of precisely locating someone — indoors or outdoors. Currently, those systems can place someone at the scene but that’s about the extent of it. Here’s why…

I kinda disagree with this. In the Vallow-Daybell case, cellubrite was used to track Alex's whereabouts based on GPS coordinates and the LE explained that the accuracy of the coordinates was accurate plus or minus
6 meters. That's pretty close to exactly determining where a phone was held by someone. Unfortunately in this case, it seems the defense used this technology but not the prosecution and its possible that cellubrite is more accurate than the program LE used. Jmo

He used religion like he used everything in his life. To benefit himself.

Yes, I thought it kind of strange SM told her friend she wanted the spy pen to get evidence BM was a bad guy by having an affair, which some posters here seem to think is fairly trivial "bad" behavior, while a recording of domestic abuse would to me be bombshell bad guy evidence. I guess BM's abusive behavior could have only started sometime after she got the spy pen, though, when she was already checking out of the marriage, and she then tried to get such evidence instead and the friend only reported the original reason.

Suzanne spent her entire marriage (up to the last few days anyway) covering up the abuse. She couldn't tell SO that she wanted the pen to catch Barry abusing her, so she said cheating since he had a history.

Typing that out it becomes clear just how afraid of Barry she was.

MOO....
With all the trash dumps, seems his truck would have been spotless! If my memory is correct, in one of the testimonies, they revealed it was very messy/trashy....
This would contradict him cleaning his truck out, but that wasn't even one of his excuses!! He couldn't remember what he threw away except 9 months later by revealing it was tranq. stuff.....
And I think, he probably said that Only bc he KNEW or THOUGHT they had found something to do with the tranquilizer....
So if they knew only one dart was missing, where did they find this package? Could they have found it in one of the trash dumps? If so, what else have they found!!!
What exactly does everyone think he was dumping in the trash? It doesn't sound like they found anything so I am not sure what they are trying to say. Not to be graphic but if they are implying body parts, I would doubt it if they were unable to find any DNA or blood so I am not sure what they think was dumped. Maybe he just wanted to get rid of incriminating stuff in the event of divorce, etc. I just have a hard time believing it was body parts if there was no blood or dna and where would he have have been able to do something like that to her. Very strange.

Agreed completely. Barry attended a Baptist church in both Salida and Indiana and came from a evangelical background so he's familiar with the language evangelical Christians use. IMO, that's about as deep as his spirituality goes. Knowing the lingo & a handful of verse references (taken out of context).

Seriously doubt it. Why would they jeopardize the career of another policeman?
Like PIs they can interview people.
Sounds like the affair was general gossip in Indiana at some point.

Oh Gotcha!!

Good question. Until BM did this, I didn't even know it can be done.

I googled and googled and found a a great amount of information this. (My google history must be crazy!lol!)

I also learned instead of disconnecting the battery, you can just pull the fuse. That also will reset the GPS.

It was reported via tweets the daughter of JL found the messaging to Suzanne on her Dad’s phone, when she went to order pizza. And she spoke with her uncle about Dad’s affair. So there are numerous ways this info could have been shared in Indiana and maybe CM got word of it there. So even though SM is reported to have not shared her secret, it was out on the other end.

^^That, and I'm having a difficult time grasping that BM was chasing her around the house to tranquilize her when he could no doubt subdue her very easily and restrain her and then tranquilize her (if that is what he did, was tranquilize her). It seems obvious in my opinion, that he has hid/disposed of her well so it's not like he would worry about leaving bruises, strangulation/ligature marks, or any injuries for that matter, but of course, it appears he didn't want to and didn't leave a blood trail. But again, I just can't picture him chasing her around the house to tranquilize her, but again, we don't know at this time what happened and we may never know either how she met her demise, but IMO, he seems to have a short fuse and is a loose cannon.
BUT without tranquilizing her first, she could have left marks on HIM during the struggle to subdue her then tranquilize her. Jmo

I think more along the lines of: phone, diary’s, items associated with the crime such as gloves or clothing, something she had on him (blackmail type items), etc.

Actually, I've been thinking about this too and wondered if it was possible.

My weapons specialist said that a longer barrel would be more accurate. However, the short rifle would be accurate up to within 20'. Isn't that's up close and personal? Maybe all Barry needed was 20' or less, if this weapon was the one used.

Prosecution always uses Cellabrite in trials. Wonder if not using it for the prelim was tactical.
I have no doubt LE used Cellabrite for this case also. I think the state's witness was intentionally vague for the preliminary and saving this for the expert testimony at trial. IMO, the defense was running the clock, again!

Does anyone know when they got the Broomfield footage?
All the news reports that police did ask for it, seem to be from September.

Snipped for focus, BBM.
A 50lb bag of corn sounds like baiting deer, doesn't it? Or...chipmunks?
Is feeding deer even legal in Colorado?

(My mom used to buy bags of corn to feed the the Canada Geese that wintered on our little lake.)
