Moo People are making statements that no one would hike in that park in the rain with all the mosquitos. Leaving aside that I have seen people happily hike in just those situations, we aren't talking about a rational person. We are talking about someone who allegedly murdered his fiance, tried to ignore that he did it, and is now coming face to face with the consequences if his actions. ANYTHING is possible.

Who said that? I did question whether he really went there in the rain, but I said nothing about mosquitos and didn't ask who'd do that. I questioned it because I think it was a ruse and he never went in there to begin with.

I disagree. While not personally familiar w Carlton Reserve, I am familiar w nearby Myakka & live in the region in similar preserve/reserve area. There are a great many avid outdoors people in FL. The state is full of preserved natural areas & folks love to take advantage of that. It’s why we build large communities among preserves.

THIS. People don't realize this.

I kinda hope he offs himself and here is why: how are they going to prove he murdered her? He will get the best criminal defense attorney ( the publicity for the attorney will be worth not getting compensated)- and the defense will be this: we had an argument but when I left her there she was fine. Somebody else came along and killed her- how are they going to prove he did it? She was out in the elements so long there is probably no DNA that would be usable.
I guess that’s a real fear, yes. Unless they are able to build a strong circumstantial case that would convince jurors. They’ve convicted people without a body in some murder cases.

There have been several different posts here saying things of that nature.

Is it just me that is a bit uncomfortable with the villifying of people with such limited information? Have we gone so sideways that we just grasp for instant condemnation instead of assuming complete innocence (as indicated by law)?

I am a bit black and white, and realize this about myself. But why does silence indicate guilt? We know NOTHING about the relationship or dynamics between these families, except what we have heard from Gabby's side that includes her father ALWAYS calling Brian "Brianne", (his words from Dr Phil interview) and that the kids CHOSE to live with HIS parents. There is SO much we do not know, and thousands of possible dynamics. Is there no benefit of the doubt worth considering first? Sigh. Sorry...this may not be an appropriate post.
I respectfully disagree with this. If you are innocent, you still give basic information, not remain completely silent. Tell the police the days, dates, places where you were with Gabby. Be at least available to answer preliminary questions. The fact that they wouldn't even return calls or to respond to texts from Gabby's parents early in her disappearance indicates to me they knew something. Although the parents of BL are not seen, they don't seem frantic, their friends or relatives don't seem to be coming to comfort them. I have to use my logic and say they know what is going on, and they are not telling because what they know is bad for their son. As far as Gabby's side, the mother has not said anything to indicate any adverse relations with BL or his family. I give her dad props for being angry now, earlier he said they liked BL. The longer he stays gone, the more guilty he appears. MOO

@kkuizon
Happening now: the family attorney for Gabby Petito has sent a letter to the attorney of Brian Laundrie’s family asking for them to remove photos of Gabby from his Yelp page.

I have a feeling they know more than we do and they're pretty angry right now. IMO

There is nothing to indicate what you are saying is true.
If anything the description by the 911 caller is so minimal you should actually be questioning what he saw, not the other way around.
You're basically implying that the 911 caller saw the one-way abuse... then mentioned nothing else... except they hopped in the car and drove off. While the other witness missed the one-way abuse, but then gave this significantly more detailed description of everything else - the other guy just ignored?
Think about that. Really. Not trying to be a jerk. But the analysis here is severely lacking in objectivity.

I'm not questioning EITHER of them and I'm not sure why it's necessary to question witness account.

I believe they both saw what they saw. The logical explanation is that they only saw part of the incident when different things were occurring. Also possible is one was on one side of the van and the other on the other side. Or the original caller had walked back into Moonflower to make the call and could only see what was occurring at that point from a distance. Seems to me like you want to discredit one of the witnesses and IMO that would be severely lacking in objectivity.

I respectfully have to disagree. DNA can last years, even in poor conditions. There could be digital forensic evidence on multiple devices, able to paint a parallel picture of the can and cell phone(s). There are many, many ways in which evidence can be used in this type of case.

During the DV incident, you could see how excited BL got once he realized he was successfully duping police into thinking he was the victim. He was visibly riding some sort of extreme high as the situation was shifting in his favor; an immense gratification from the fact he was getting away with his private (and public) abuse. After conning the authorities once with such ease, he probably has an inflated sense of what he can get away with.

I hope he is alive and that we somehow get more answers. This is such a heartbreaking yet fascinating case in so many ways. MOO

As well as some stations having their own copters, others license news footage from local businesses who specialise in aerial filming.
