The other option is if they bought a prepaid card at Walmart.
The problem in all of this, though....Walmart has cameras everywhere.
Side note: Jodi Arias was pretty much toasted by a lowly Walmart clerk doing her Walmart thing.

PayPal is also an option

Still no public plea for their son to return home or "BL, we're worried about you...please contact us and we'll work through this together."

The next part is, of course, MOO - but, if parents had invested $$$ in their child's flight, would they want to lose that investment by begging him to come home or make things right with the law?

Again, idle speculation.

If this was all planned I'd have thought they'd have discussed... We'll do appeals or whatever the Police recommend, don't take any notice of them etc.

I think they've really not helped, I have no clue if they've commited crimes or not. But they're now in a situation where nothing they say will be seen upon favourably. If they did appeal they'd just get shouted down that they didn't for Gabby so they must have known she wasn't alive etc. There isn't a winning move.

JMO.

"Brian Laundrie's parents go on lengthy errand run in Florida, longest since saga began

Chris and Roberta Laundrie spent about an hour at their local Walmart store just after it opened Tuesday morning, exiting with a shopping cart full of bottled water and other items.

They drove by an AT&T store – but it had not yet opened. Then went to a bank, standing outside the door until its business day began at 9 a.m.

After about 25 minutes inside, they hit the road again, dropping off a box at a nearby FedEx Office storefront.

Then they hopped on Interstate 75 and drove north before reaching another AT&T store in Sarasota."

Brian Laundrie manhunt: Parents go on lengthy errand run in Florida: LIVE UPDATES
I really want to know what is in the Fed Ex package and who it is going to. I'm sure that investigators know, though.

Maybe they had a months worth of Colorado supplies in the van after visiting town all day and she was terrified LE was going to search the van? Is it possible that there might be something else that might make someone anxious and upset? My daughter's first traffic stop overwhelmed her so much that she was in a crying panic until my wife could get to her.

He b/f was slapping her, tried to ditch her while driving off in HER van with her phone. Plenty for her to be upset about.

Maybe BL was on their business account? When the feds froze Brian's accounts it may have included the business account, if he was on it. It could easily take 25 minutes to open a new business account, which you probably have to do in person.

Just bored and speculating here.

Perhaps the Laundries have a safe deposit box at the bank that requires in-person access. After a bank official opens the locker that contains you safe deposit box using your key and theirs, you are escorted into a private room to view the contents of your safe deposit box. Depending on what you have in your safe deposit box - jewelry, important documents, wills, insurance policies, passports, etc. - it can certainly take some time to go through the contents of a safe deposit box.

Hi. My first post. I’m so excited… I joined and have been reading for over a week and tonight was the first time I actually reached the end ! Lol
Almost can’t remember some of the things I wanted to mention.

Please forgive me in advanced if I repeat anything that has already been discussed.

first, I really hope that while Mr and Mrs L were out on the ‘ nanny nanny boo boo, you can’t touch me ‘ tour of the town with LE, media and anyone else following along , that someone stayed behind to keep an eye on their house. Just in case anyone decides to visit while eyes are looking the other way. I’m sure the FBI or LE are, just wanted to mention it.
Also, might be risky for BL but mom and dad could get Walmart gift cards too.

Has anyone seen the claims about the ‘fake’ GP Instagram account that some sleuths have determined had links to mom L. They have mentioned that as soon as people noticed and started digging that the account went private. I will look again and see if I can put the link on here.

Thanks to all of you who have contributed so much info to be digested

It could have been just upset about being stopped by the police. Heck that would get me upset lol. However, I did notice a distinct difference in her behavior when the officer said something about a citation & separating them for the night. For some reason something was triggered. Idk what it was, but something that officer said in that moment sent her anxiety thru the roof. JMO. I wish we knew what that was :( poor girl.
You're all going to hate me for this. But, GP's father said in her eulogy that Gabby would cry when she was grounded or something and he would let her off the hook. He then said he thought that maybe she was crying on purpose to get out of trouble. Sort of crying on command. Not saying she was doing this at the Moab stop at all, but just something that caught my attention. I'm on Gabby's side and this is probaby irrelevant but just wanted to mention it.

People seriously still go to the bank? As in get out of the car, go in the door, and let the teller do his/her thing, and come back out with a bunch of cash? Like actual bills? IMO this is very abnormal. I find it very red-flaggy.
My husband is in his mid fifties and before Covid always parked and went into the bank for deposits or to get cash. He hates waiting in any kind of drive-thru or going to the ATM. But since the Quarantine and be cause he has immunity issues, he never goes into banks or restaurants if he can avoid it. We do most of our banking and shopping online now. But I guess the Laundries are desperate to get out of the house, maybe. JMOO

In their shoes, if I didn't know where my son went, I know I would be trying to find him. I believe I would make appeals to him, as well as work with authorities.
Maybe they feel they are working sufficiently with authorities?
Maybe he told them the truth and they told him to go to the authorities. After he didn't they told him to either go or get the hell out!
His Dad did help LE by showing them BL'S familiar places he would frequent. CL didn't know if there would be a shoot out or if they would find his son's dead body. This is huge to me. Their silence is just unfathomable and I keep trying to figure out why....why would he take his parents down with him?? I know I'm grasping, but I just don't understand it...

I had wondered if they were looking into getting a loan to get a new place. Even after Brian is found, this family is never going to be welcomed in that neighborhood.

SAD! Gabby's parents and other family members are being tortured by her murder and BL's being on the run. Gabby's family was/is being tortured by the Laundrie family's refusal to come forward with any/all information they have. Gabby's family was callously ignored by the Laundrie family in the weeks Gabby was missing.

I don't agree with people being on their lawn/street but I am still having a hard time working up any sympathy for them. I feel bad for their neighbors.

The behavior that we're able to see from the Laundries does have a "We care about him and his whereabouts every bit as much as we cared about Gabby and her whereabouts" vibe.

I totally believe the errands today were all theater!! They've been hiding for weeks, just like their son, except for their few trips out, mostly just CL for those. Today was full on - don't bite their hook. JMO

Are they not humans with basic needs nobody told media to follow them

Going on the run during a pandemic feels too dangerous and would ensure that I'd be arrested. I'd be too scared, but then again, so is living in a highly populated jail.
Thinking on the run, stress, lack of sleep and poor diet could tap out the immune system.
Maybe hospitals should be on alert for 20 ish males with no ID being admitted for illness?
MOO

As a young woman I myself used tears. It can be a great persuader. Not that they aren't genuine.
