So this is a speculation I have not read here yet. What if Gabby was worried about Brian being away from her during one of his “episodes”. Not as a fear of repercussions for her, but genuinely worried about his mental health. If it was possible that she did phone RL, it may have been for advice or just to warn her that BL was out of control and that she was going to be away from him, and was worried that he would have more of a melt down. I am not sold into this, but I just thought it might be worth a mention. I don’t see their relationship as a classic abuser/abused, more like a person who is not rational, can be abusive, perhaps manic at times. If that was the case, she may have been worried about him being on his own during a crisis.
Or worried about others???

I'm not sure I'm following you. I have a Venmo and Cash App. Both have their own debit cards that I can use anywhere. As long as there's a balance, I can pull out of an atm, use it at any store and online.
You need an actual Venmo Mastercard debit card to do all that with Venmo. And getting a Venmo debit card requires verification of your identity.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW CARD ACCOUNT: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a Card Account.

What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

When you apply for the card make sure to use your home address and not work address or P.O. Box so that we are able to verify your identity.

The behavior that we're able to see from the Laundries does have a "We care about him and his whereabouts every bit as much as we cared about Gabby and her whereabouts" vibe.
More than once I've wondered if they didn't throw him out. One of those "you've brought a pox upon this family" scenarios. MOO and I do watch a lot of old movies on TCM.

Weird, they never asked me to verify identification. I set up the account, ordered the card and was able to use it immediately. I received the card approximately a week later.

Not the only reason why my suspicions are raised IMO
Changing beneficiaries on wills, closing accounts he might be listed as joint holder and reopening them to get his name removed???
Wrongful death lawsuit??? Can't they go after any account he is named on?
So parents protecting their assets?
Which could piont to him being alive. Maybe he is gonna turn himself in and they are getting it all set up?
Or normal people running errands!
MOO

If you ever witness it, you will never miss seeing on a person again. For example, when Jodi Arias was on the witness stand calmly lying about the murder she would have a slight smile/smirk when she lied and thought she was smarter than everyone else . CA did the exact same smirk when lying about her baby being taken by a Nanny. Jmo
YEP! It’s very subtle, but it’s there! I wanted to reach through the TV with both of them along with Scott Peterson!!!

Perhaps the Laundries have a safe deposit box at the bank that requires in-person access. After a bank official opens the locker that contains you safe deposit box using your key and theirs, you are escorted into a private room to view the contents of your safe deposit box. Depending on what you have in your safe deposit box - jewelry, important documents, wills, insurance policies, passports, etc. - it can certainly take some time to go through the contents of a safe deposit box.
This is very possible.
Or they may have had to wait in line because lots and lots of people do in fact go to the bank.
I'm shocked that anyone finds it strange.
Look around in your town.
Banks are everywhere.
If people didn't use use physical, bricks and mortar banks does anyone think banks would spend the money to build, staff, and maintain them?
They would not.

I agree! There are other reasons for going to a bank besides drawing out money...

The errands almost remind me of what someone would do before going out of town on a road trip. Bank, perhaps pick up a new car cell phone charger from AT&T, get necessities from walmart, etc. Or they could be getting back to their previous schedule before all of this happened and the various stops were just the L's Tuesday errands. IMO.

Need lawyers to weigh in on this please. Aren't homicides occurring in the commission of other crime or attempted crimes such as rape arson robbery....considered 1st degree murder? Could the importance of the warrant for use of Gabby's cards after her death get tied to the commission of robbery of said cards?

No, because he did not kill G for her credit cards. That was after the fact. I think it will be difficult to prove murder 1. I’m going with either murder 2 or maybe manslaughter.

One major thing that is really bothering me, especially after the jokey comment by the lawyer tonight, how can he act on the behalf of BL when BL is missing? Has BL signed over his rights to his parents, would this imply he/they knew he was going ‘missing’, I cannot understand how a lawyer can make statements on behalf of a client who can’t give his ‘ok’ to the lawyer. I’m baffled and I would be very very upset if this ever happened to me. Who the heck is he getting his ok from to speak for BL? Is it a way for the lawyer to perhaps show wrongful representation if it ever comes to court, anything said now can’t be used, he didn’t have adequate council etc etc. I just don’t understand what is happening with the lawyers tweets, has this ever happened before? MOO

Personally, the only time I ever buy that much bottled water at once is when I'm throwing a party or when I'm going on a road trip. And since it's probably not the former...

Legally, though, there's nothing preventing them from leaving town, is there?

Unless they have been told by LE to "stick around" they can do whatever they want, wherever they want to do it. IMO.

Thank you! I think that for cards to have some of those symbols on the back (you know, the ones that tell you which ATM networks you can use), the bank has to follow federal interstate banking laws - which someone here said prohibit sharing your ATM card and PIN with anyone .

At any rate, I would think that the person using the card, who was then accused of misuse - like BL, would need to say how permission was given, and for what. If BL cleaned out the whole account, he would need to answer some questions and be convincing to get this charge to go away. If he used the card to buy gas while leaving Gabby on the ground (or somehow he missed seeing her when he packed up to leave - didn't even notice her boots?), then he will have to show permission for both use of her vehicle on a cross country trip (leaving her behind) and for the permission for each gas station.

Not like he's gonna show up and do any of that, of course.

This bank fraud charge will all go away when they have B in their hands and he is indicted for murder.

I'm betting on an extended boat ride to get away from the public pressure.

Facts: Laundries go to Walmart a lot , they went to Brian after he got back
Speculation 1: They can order things online but they decide to continue going to the store maybe to establish this is normal thing to do (going to walmart)
Speculation 2: They went to ATT store to change phone numbers after all the harassment/threats
Fact: they bought Aquifina bottled water and filter

Conclusion : I honestly don't see anything criminal about this trip or the things they bought. They aren't going to buy air filters for their house then run away and play hide n seek

I've thought about this. During the Moab stop LE told BL he would need to stop by the police station before a noon tomorrow (this was Thursday) to fill out the paperwork or they would be looking at until Monday morning (all weekend). Could BL and GP not have even hooked up again until Monday if he didn't go into the Police Station by noon Friday? Just something to ponder...
