NJ NJ - The Iceman - Richard Kuklinski

A lot of that was fabricated for the HBO special on him, if you dig a little on him youll see that he wasnt really a contract killer , had no real if any connections to the mafia at all

He even confessed that to other inmates

"If you dig a little" is excellent advice for any subject someone may be interested in. The information is out there, especially if you reference several sources.
Thanks for the helping to set the record straight on Kuklinski.

A lot of mob guys were pissed when HBO did that special , they were like "whos this guy"

Richard did kill people, but he wasnt a mafia contract killer or even a serial killer etc...

Rich was a paranoid low level con man, who maybe desired to be affiliated with the Mafia in North Jersey,

He would get into phony business deals with guys then he'd rip them off then kill them, for fear of being turned in

The Mafia story came out while he was in prison, and somehow HBO did a special on him because , from what I was told, "He looked imposing and could pull it off"

Another part of the story was he cooked up the Mafia connection thing , because 1) it was in North jersey and 2) feared for his life because his brother, was in the same prison, and was a marked guy because he lured a little girl to a rooftop where he raped her strangled her unconscious then threw her and her dog off a high rise building killing them both.

The FBI had the entire mafia under surveillance, for years, all the way down to low level affiliates

Kuklinski appears on NONE of their lists, all the real connected guys are serving federal time, Kuklinski was in state

Real mafia guys whom he claimed he was involved with , never heard of him, Ive spoken with Gemini Crew members in prison.

Also remember , this guy claimed to have killed probably the Mafias most prolific killer in Roy DeMeo? a guy so dangerous not even John Gotti wouldn't take the contract on him ?

PURE BS

Pretty sure he’s a serial killer.

Pretty sure he’s a serial killer.

Not really , to the letter , in terms of more than 2 killings ...perhaps

But then so are contract killers

they had him on 2 murders , (Masgay and Depner) but he admitted to 5

He also admitted to a slew of other stuff they knew he had nothing to do with

Either way he was where he deserved to be until he died

December 24, 1971: Bruno Latini, 55
January 30, 1980: George Malliband, 41
March 14, 1980: Peter Calabro, 36
July 1, 1981: Louis Masgay, 50
April 29, 1982: Paul Hoffman, 51
December 23, 1982: Gary Smith, 42
February-May 1983: Daniel Deppner, 34
August 9, 1984: Robert Prongay, 38

Surely those 8 would make him a serial killer. Anyway a lot of people are making a lot of money off his name.

There are other victims I’m looking for, like the man in the street and the triple homicide in the (fake?) newspapers. The man killed in the car was apparently named Doyle.

Kuklinski claimed to have killed a neighborhood bully named Charley/Charlie Lane/Chase (names are conflicting here). He also apparently killed Jim O’Brian, Anthony De Peti, and Arthur De Gillio.

If anyone here has any information on these victims, tell this forum immediately.

He confessed to 5 of those they didnt link them to him

Dont believe the hype, theres strong doubt Prongay even existed , as theres at least 4 different spellings of the last name, and yet again noone involved in NY organized crime knew any of them

Remember he also claimed to kill Jimmy Hoffa at one point too then recanted saying he "heard some things"

AS far as LE knows, he killed 2 there wasnt much to link him to many others, or they wouldve had more evidence, despite his attempts, but he would lay claim to many unsolved murders,

Kuklinski even took credit for mafia hits that LE knew he didnt commit but that all came out while was in prison.

Now, would you want to be in business with the guy ?

No, his paranioa would eventually get the best of him , hed panic, and kill you if he thought you were a threat.

In terms of numbers, OK you could say he was "Serial" , but it wasnt for the same reasons a serial offender kills, it wasnt for thrills etc.. it was more out of fear.

So far I beleive most of his claims have been actually debunked as well

But it made for good TV

Which one there’s two different spellings

also even if he did exist supposedly everything that we know about this individual comes from Kuklinski himself who is a known liar

where is the connection?

it’s more likely and almost probable that Kuklinski knew the name from the newspapers and made up these claims like he did so many others

Trust me no low level guy killed Roy DeMeo, who was a made man

Still looking for any newspaper articles or something on Charley Lane.
