Hello all-

Cross posting this:

I looked for Sherry Pickle in the Ancestry Yearbooks and this photo of her popped up. I could not help notice the resemblance to Arroyo Jane Doe. Unfortunately, AJD mentions no ankle injuries or scars on feet but I about fell out of my chair when this photo came up:

Sadly, this is not her. I too thought it was, but it turns out that there were TWO Sherry Pickles of similar age in the Covina, CA area. I did find our Sherry Pickle's sophomore yearbook picture, which is most definitely her. She went to Edgewood High School.

Pickle was last seen on May 14, 1972 in Long Beach, CA. She may have traveled to meet a male companion or hitch hiked to the Los Angeles, California area. It is feared she may be a homicide victim.

You quote my first post to this thread from back in 2004. That information came from the Doe Network Website. Checking her current file on Doe, I see that the statement is still there. Unfortunately, I do not have any more specific information on it.

I wonder who LE think Sherry was travelling with. Was there a bikers club in the area? Did she have a boyfriend?
She may be among the Jane Does that you have mentioned, but Charley says: "She had perfect teeth at the time of her disappearance". And some of the Jane Does had stained teeth, etc.
As she was believed to hava hitchhiked, I started to think that she may be anywhere; maybe Sherry planned to go to Borrego Springs area, but that doesn't mean the man she was presumed to have travelled with had the same plan. So I widen the search... Possible match? Maybe.
