I am glad you pointed that out as someone reading the thread could be misled into thinking it was a new current article.
The police have said to the media that there have been no recent developments. Leah's disappearance still stands as a missing persons case. Members of the public, myself included have been open to theories of homicide but this has not been the police position.
Could the police have placed Leah under witness protection?. This would give an answer to any developments being rather slow and not forthcoming. The most important rule of the program is that witnesses must not make contact with former associates or unprotected family members. What is life like in the UK's witness protection programme?
Have there been any missing peoples cases where the person was in hiding and circumstances known to the police? It would seem pretty cruel to a persons family and friends but maybe lips remain sealed in higher places to protect Leah's family. Could Leah be a whisteblower in an undercover operation maybe.

I think it's very unlikely that she would go into witness protection so quickly after witnessing something and agreeing to give testimony in court that her parents would have no inkling of any of it. Not that they would be able to say so, but I think their very public anguish and search for answers suggests that's not the situation. I have no doubt that there are some people that the public at large considers to be missing who are in fact in witness protection though.

Maybe just my thoughts but a 21 year old female currently missing 27 miles away from Milton Keynes doesn't look too much unlike Leah and the same sort of age if there is a random perpetrator targeting women in the area.

Someone pointed out that the missing lady is wearing black trousers, grey top and black trainers which was the same kind of clothes as Leah was wearing when she went missing. I hope she hasn't been targeted by someone. Hopefully nothing out of the ordinary.

I think it is fair to say that both females look younger than their years and this is of a concern if there was a Paedophile operating.
Leah could have been mistaken for a girl of young teens age group.

Witness protection seems way off the mark, she was not a girl who socialised and went out a lot, her parents said she spent almost all her time at home so very unlikely she will have witnessed things that would mean she needs witness protection

Only possibility is she might have had some information on X drug dealing or something but he is not some MrBig, at best he would be a small time dealer so no way would witness protection be used for him

He drove an old VW Golf in his MK’s Finest pics

Plus after 2 years if they haven’t built a case against him over something Leah in witness protection for they never will

Paedophiles are sexually attracted to pre-pubescent children, not teenagers.
Please don't encourage the misuse of this term or we will end up with no word to describe the former.

The other missing lady was since found deceased under non suspicious but unexplained circumstances so just to let people know there is no known relevance between the two disappearences.

How sad. I presume this looks like suicide since TVP have said it's not suspicious. It feels as though there's an epidemic of suicidality among under 25s atm.

With the recent missing 21 year old that is what I expect happened reading between the lines.
I am not convinced that this would have been the case with Leah as no body has ever been found. It has also been said that she had exciting plans for a family holiday booked for just days after she vanished. We read in newspaper reports that Leah's half brother sadly went over the edge with mental health problems after her disappearance and took his own life but in my opinion I don't think Leah took hers.

Im less interested in what they are called, however there are people out there who will be attracted to underaged children and perhaps Leah was mistaken for a 14-15 Year old.
That was probably a badly made point by me.

Totally agree. Added to that I think he would have been collected from prison rather than driven himself .

Absolutely.
Plus didn’t he have to check in at a half way house on that morning after release. I don’t see any way that he would have been wandering the streets of MK at 8.30 am even if he was released from the closest prison to the area.
