State going through Kayla's criminal history since 2012 of dealing drugs and lying to LE. Asking for more strict bail terms than you'd think for this case. They are concerned she is a flight risk and/or will not appear in the future.

Sounds like the prosecution knows KM is being investigated for much more serious charges.

He was adopted into a loving, caring home.
I hope the other kiddos will not also have a chance of growing up in a loving family home.

I'm recalling the case of AJ Freund. Two employees of Illinois Dept. of Children and Family Services had criminal charges filed against them for the mishandling of this case. Kayla Montgomery (wife of Adam, father of #HarmonyMontgomery) arrested for welfare fraud. Kayla allegedly collected over $1,500 in food stamp benefits from 12/2019 to 6/2021 for Harmony, despite the girl no longer living there.

And it just keeps getting worse. If she believed Harmony was with her mum then why would she take the risk? Not sure how it works in the US but I assume there's a centralised system for welfare benefits?

I wonder, if government records still listed Harmony as living with them, did they also collect those checks that were distributed for Covid relief? I think there was a certain amount given to people with minor children and it would probably just land on the welfare or benefit card.

Right now I honestly can't remember who initiated that extra money for children, if it was under Trump or Biden, but I remember that was done.

Could be something like a sober house....people coming out of addiction treatment and trying to function/transition to jobs and self reliance with varying levels of rehab support.

no, she was talking about Jamison, CS's other child who was adopted by BM. but im also curious where KM's older child is, hopefully safe.

She was living at the transitional facility with her children. Now her children are in the custody of her mother. Her defense lawyer said she wouldn't be able to go back to the families in transition housing because she doesn't have custody of her kids right now so he proposed she live with her mother.

I have a friend who is currently in a transitional facility w her child due to DV. maybe thats a possibility here too? they say she hasnt been arrested since 2015 so that is possible.

Since Kayla was collecting welfare money for Harmony, it's obvious Kayla knew Harmony wasn't with her mother. This is so sad.
