Bumping this thread up as Denise Beaudin is mentioned here. Does anyone remember where in CA Denise's daughter was left, and where did Terry show up next after that?

ETA: I think the daughter was left behind at age 5 (in 1986?) .... so is it possible that Denise was with Terry until 1982, but he kept the daughter several years longer?

In November 1981 Denise went missing (with her daughter and her boyfriend, being Rasmussen under an alias) from NH. Rasmussen abandoned her daughter in June 1986 in CA. (The little girl named Lisa had been abandoned in 1986 at an RV park by a drifter. The Tale of the Abandoned Girl’s DNA that Led to a Notorious Cold Case) It's not known where he was between 1981 (and if Denise was with him) and 1984 when he resurfaced again in Los Alamitos, CA.

In January 1986 RASMUSSEN was in Santa Cruz County, CA living & working at the Holiday Host RV Park in Scotts Valley under name Gordon Jenson. So it's possible that he abandoned Denise's daughter there.

It's totally possible Denise was killed in CA by him in the early 80's. But if she is this UID? It's good to explore this more.

Denise Beaudin had never been officially reported as missing – at the time of her disappearance, her family assumed she had just run off with Evans, as they were in financial straits, and decided that she had chosen to cut off ties with the family.

However, the NH case was revived when the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office, working with a genetic genealogist, were led to Beaudin’s family in New Hampshire. They were working on a case of a 5-year-old girl, known as “Lisa Jenson,” who had been abandoned in 1986 by a man thought to be her father, who had given her to strangers. That girl was eventually adopted into a loving family, and is now married with three children.

That girl was Denise Beaudin’s daughter, Dawn Beaudin.

Authorities say Evans is the man who abandoned her in the summer of 1986 while operating under the alias Gordon Jenson. He claimed falsely to be her father, and he and the child were living in a Holiday Host RV Park in Santa Cruz County, where he was working as a handyman.

After he gave the child up, he disappeared, although he was later arrested and charged with child abandonment.

Fingerprints from the trailer where he lived with the little girl came up as a match in the FBI database with a man named Curtis Kimball.

New Hampshire investigators during the Jan. 26 news conference said they are now working diligently to solve the 30-year-old mystery of the “Allenstown four,” as well as the case of Beaudin. Although hopeful they would find evidence, Beaudin’s remains were not recovered last week in an FBI search of the Hayward Street home they last shared, before her sudden disappearance in 1981.

In 1985, Rasmussen was south of McFarland in Cypress and Los Alamitos and in 1986, he was north of McFarland in Santa Cruz County. Geographically and era-wise, this could be him. It could even be the mother of the middle child. Let's say he returns to California in 1982 and mother of child says, hey where's my kid?

All of these sound like great candidates to me except Jennie Burkart. She had a different ring than the one found on Jane Doe. In addition, her jacket was just red while JD had orange and red-white sweaters.

So, there was a thread on this Jane Doe. It seems that Beaudin was never suggested as the only ruleout is Sherry Roach. I think I will email the regional specialist about this suggestion.

was he really placed close to mcfarland? los alamitos and cypress are about 3 hours south, and the route to santa cruz from so cal is the 5 or 101, not the 99. however if youre trying to secret a body, ppl have certainly gone to out of the way places.
