VA - Johnny Depp's defamation case against ex Amber Heard, who countersued #6

I am also recalling that JD refused to have any new or additional psych exam. Hence why AH's psych expert stated that she never saw or interviewed JD. So, IMO he must have acquiesced and allowed his previous doctors to testify with his personal history.
I thought Dr. Kipper in fact tolled out a list of all JD's diagnoses as part of his video depo way back when?

I can't recall if they were interim, finalized, whatever, but I do recall him giving a laundry list.

Somewhere in the court record

there are documents where both sides petitioned for the other's medical records.

The uploaders weren't kind enough to name the file uploads pertaining to anything "medical" so we could tell which is which, with the exception of two of the Defendant's petitions; but I've been advised they are there somewhere, and that as part of it, a judge signed an order saying that JD had to sign the HIPAA waiver and turn over some limited records.

I couldn't tell you if the plaintiff's side won their motion to get AH's own HIPAA waiver; but they certainly tried (again, more evidence of these attempts on the part of JD team may be in the above list of documents).

Aquaman: Warner said there was a 'lack of chemistry' between leads

We now move onto another witness, Jessica Kovacevic, who is Amber Heard's former talent agent.

Ms Kovacevic says she helped Heard get the role of Mera in Aquaman. She says Heard had contracts to appear in Justice League, and subsequently the first and second Aquaman films. She describes the DC Comics movies as being enormously successful, and says last year she renegotiated Heard's contracts, which she describes as "standard".

She also mentions online rumours at the time that Heard was being replaced in her role as Mera. She confirms her salary for the role was $2m.

Ms Kovacevic says the film studio Warner Brothers cited "lack of chemistry between her and Jason [Momoa]" as a reason the role may not be carried into the second film, however Ms Kovacevic says Heard's part was eventually reinstated to her.

However, she says Heard's "career arc" has not progressed in the way she would have expected. She explains: "She was very well received in the movie at the time... To have a complete downturn after that then have that paired with negative Tweets about her... It's the only logical conclusion that I can draw [that the two things are linked]".

She says Heard lost a lead role in an Amazon Prime film following the negative tweet campaign that was waged against the actress. She is asked if she knows of any specific example of negative press put out by Depp's attorney affecting Heard's career, and she says yes, losing the Amazon movie and also an advertising campaign for shoe company Tod's.

She goes on: "No one wants someone who's been accused [of being a liar] and making things up and abusing someone, involved in their project".

Old saying comes to mind :

If you set out for revenge
You might as well dig 2 graves.

A reminder: Johnny's father was the abused parent, his mother was the abusive one. If he feared becoming his father, that means he was worried about being abused himself and falling into the patterns of staying with someone who was violent towards him.
Except Johnny’s father hit Johnny (14 at the time I believe) so hard one time that he was unconscious for a bit.

Only thing I can think of is that JD gave his approval for the psychiatrist to testify.
That is what I am thinking. I used to work in a hospital as a medical biller and then went on to become a Certified Coding Specialist. HIPAA rules were not to be broken (of course). So, JD gave his approval or this psychiatrist is in deep doo-doo. Listening to his MD's notes made me very uncomfortable. MOO

Which is, IMO, why he's basically searched for substitute parents everywhere, ever since then (he has been quoted as saying he learned French so he could talk to Vanessa Paradis' parents; we've had his own testimony right here about his tight relationship with Amber's parents; doubtless others I cannot remember).

I've never heard about that. Maybe it's common knowledge but would you have a link?
He said it in his testimony.

Rottenborn coaxed it out of him, I suspect using information he got from AH because, well, that seems like the kind of spouse-entrusting thing you'd talk about with the daughter of an abusive father herself, doesn't it?

Thank you! The things I forget  And, yes... sure does!

She's kind of inadvertently made Johnny Depp's whole case for him in that one sentence at the end

Everybody had to be subpoenaed in order to give testimony, I think, as can be seen here:

It's also been explained in connection with the failure to show on behalf of Elon Musk and James Franco, that in VA you can ignore a subpoena, apparently, without facing any ill consequences. (And yes, I did think, "Why bother filling them out in the first place then?", when this was told to me.)

As the ex-wife of a billionaire, I feel pretty sure that Ellen Barkin has access to top-drawer legal counsel, who could have advised her that she did not in fact have to show up. (Obviously I'm not saying if they didn't or if they did; just that she didn't have to go floundering around in ignorance.)
That depo was dated 2019
"
As per a report in Entertainment Weekly, during the UK defamation case, she reportedly testified that Johnny threw a wine bottle in her direction during a heated moment in a hotel room. Johnny, however, denied the accusation, saying Ellen held a grudge against him."

Johnny Depp's ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin to testify for Amber ...
