It used to be - and May still be - in Florida if you declare bankruptcy they can’t take your house. My guess is that he foresaw some financial troubles and was trying to protect his assets.

I just double checked and it was a traditional mortgage, not due in full into 2048.

This article states where he was working in Miami (found through the department of health).
I found an interview with him, but it has since been removed. The facebook (photos) do show advertisements with him pictured in 2021. Not sure how much longer those will be there though. I briefly looked through the reviews and didn't see his name mentioned recently.

I believe that is still the case, as long as it is his primary residence. Although, I think there would be some questions about paying it off ahead of time.

And that’s if you haven’t refinanced. It’s called the homestead exemption.

I thought a license plate controller was part of the device that is used to take photo of your license plate when going through tolls on the highway (license plate recognition system)?

Maybe they are talking about an epass device in his car?
