Found Deceased FL - Taylen Mosley, 2, mom Pashun Jeffery, 20, homicide, St. Petersburg, 29 Mar 2023 *arrest*

************
On Wednesday afternoon, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery's family visited her home for Thomas Mosley's birthday party, according to an affidavit from the police department.

Jeffery's family left the home at about 5:15 p.m. and the only people at the residence were Thomas Mosley, Jeffery and their 2-year-old son, the affidavit says. Almost four hours later at around 9:03 p.m., police say Thomas Mosley arrived at his mother's home with "severe lacerations to both of his hands and arms" that closely aligned with the same injuries of someone who was involved in a knife attack. He later admitted himself to St. Anthony's Hospital.

Authorities say they found "in excess of 100 wounds" on the 20-year-old's body.

At the apartment, police say they found a bloody fingerprint on a cleaning bottle that was intentionally placed under a bed and a bloody shoe print with a Gucci emblem on the bathroom floor where Jeffery was found.

According to the affidavit, the fingerprint from the cleaning bottle was identified as belonging to Thomas Mosley.

Documents say around 8:42 p.m. Thursday, Thomas Mosley went to the Lake Maggiore area in St. Pete before continuing on to his mother's which is about 10 blocks away from the lakes.

I just found out about this because it made the news here in Australia.

It's just so freaking awful.

I don't know what would be worse. If he witnessed his mother's death and was murdered himself in the apartment, or if he was taken, alive from the apartment, by his father who must have been covered in his mother's blood, and thrown into the lake six miles away, possibly alive, to drown and be taken by animals.

Please, let it have been quick. Please, let there be that grim mercy, at least.

Sleep well in your mama's arms, Taylen. Sleep well, Pashun. You fought hard, for the both of you, fought desperately. Now, though, you can both rest.

MOO

Pinellas Circuit Judge Patrice Moore struggled to communicate at times with Mosley, who called in on a phone from St. Anthony's hospital, where he remains in police custody while being treated for injuries. He didn't make an official plea, and Moore believed he was on medication.

“It is alleged that the victim's family visited the victim's home at approximately 4:30 pm for the defendant's birthday party," Judge Moore read. "The victim's family left around 5:15, and the only person remaining in the home were the victim and her two-year-old son."

According to the complaint, phone records showed Pashun's phone left the area of her apartment around 8:42 pm and headed to Lake Maggiore, where Taylen's body was later found on Friday before Mosley showed up at his mother's house with lacerations to his arms shortly after nine p.m. and later checked himself into St. Anthony's.

Mosley was accused of killing Jeffery after celebrating his birthday at her apartment, according to arrest affidavits from the St. Petersburg Police Department. Jeffery and her son were last seen alive at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, when the last of Jeffery’s family members left her alone with Mosley.

Police said Mosley was unaccounted for until 9:03 p.m., when he showed up at his mother’s house with gashes on his hands and arms, “consistent with injuries caused by slippage during a knife attack.” He admitted himself into St. Anthony’s Hospital to treat his wounds.

Jeffery’s body was discovered at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, after her family asked apartment staff to do a welfare check on her when they spotted blood on the sidewalk. The young mother was found on her bathroom floor with over 100 stab wounds, the affidavit said.

Gosh so what happened afterwards that he did this? So cruel and awful. Even if she broke up with you why would anyone do this?!?!

So the victims family was at the party for 45min? I wonder if something happened that made them leave so quickly or maybe it was a pop in situation. For all of this to happen before 9pm speaks volumes to me. At that age I would think this would be a late night thing but for him to do what he did and then be at his moms by 9pm sounds like a fight or something. IMO

I’m thankful her family had time with her and the baby that evening. Perhaps there was tension causing her family to depart early. Sometimes you can get a bad vibe and your intuition senses it. I wonder if she had expressed any fears to her family.

I suspect the baby was deceased prior to entering the water. An alligator will protect their prey and let it decompose a bit before consuming it. Thankful they were able to recover his remains.

So his mum didn't reach out to the girl's family then after her son went home with stab wounds. Did she think her grandchild was safe?

"He then went to his mother’s nearby house, where he arrived about 9 p.m. with “severe lacerations” on his hands and arms, according to the affidavit.

Mosley later went to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where he was admitted with wounds that were “consistent with injuries caused by slippage during a knife attack,” according to the document.

On Thursday morning, Jeffery’s family grew worried when they couldn’t reach her for their daily FaceTime call, so they went to her apartment on Fourth Street North, where they found blood on the sidewalk outside, officials said."

she clearly fought hard for her life and that of her son. RIP Pashun. RIH Taylen :(

I so wanted this to go another way. But I knew immediately this one would go the way of so many others in recent years. A man was mad. A man took his child's and the mother of his child's life because of it.

On his 21st birthday this horrible person celebrated by taking two lives he should have valued over most others.

It's maddening.

Fla. man charged in death of boy found in gator also stabbed child’s mom over 100 times: report

Pure rage coming from that stabbing you-know-what.

We'll never know, and the world will miss, what good things the mom and her son might have done to make the world a better place.
