Well, for quite a few members of the family, I'd venture that there's been no grief because no shocking, new information has been made known to them.

I would like to think even without the details just the thought that a member of the family kidnapped and now that child is found murdered would be enough to make them lose sleep and cry uncontrollable for hours...heck I've seen mothers throw themselves on the casket screaming...and a few of them were sedated before that.kwim?

becca, I agree. The denial in this case is palpable - all of the adults in this case have remained ignorant of the danger of pedophiles to their children either by choice or neglect. The term wake up call is over-used but if there ever needed to be one for this town, and in fact for most people, this case should be it!

I would be very interested to know more about Ray Gagnon's history.

Lola, I want to know how these two sisters met these two freaks. I want to know about Gagnon as well. Jacques has been what he is since age 11, IIRC. Gagnon did not just suddenly become what he is overnight. I wonder who HIS other victims are? One of the news articles I read had stated that Denise married Gagnon in Alabama. Well, he and Jacques became fast friends. Then Gagnon moves to Texas and just happens to rent a room in Kevin Grosenheider's home, and just so happens that Grosenheider has a relative listed on the Texas RSO site. I cannot get the tracking on this as it was on another site that is now closed. This is not local to Vermont. There are 3 different states here - Vermont, Alabama, and Texas. I hold to my belief that it is a child *advertiser censored* ring that manufactures and swaps child *advertiser censored*.
And Dante, it may make you angry to hear the term 'kiddie *advertiser censored*', but that is what it is referred to in some circles. I hate the term as well. I wish there were no such thing as children being exploited in this way.

I wonder where little C was on the day this was taking place. Certainly not home.

I also was surprised that Cassandra , Brooke and her sister lived with Cassandra's mom. Wow..so many adults in this case just clueless.

I was glad that Denise took little C to the funeral and they let her speak. That poor little girl has lost so much, Dad, sister, step uncle, and is probably just overwehlmed with how this could be true..her world isn't what appeared to be to her either.

I think that both Cassandra and Denise have alot of hard thinking to do about they both landed in relationships with pedos.

I really hope (because I doubt DJ is going to do it) that the state steps in and requires that C be evaluated and treated by a child psychologist that specifically deals with victims. C is going to need major theraputic support in order for her to deal with everything that has happened.

The red flags fly high and we don't pay attention to them... just our imaginations... not true... look at these two women that gave their children over to these freaks. You mean Cassandra married Gagnon in Alabama. LOL. Also, Grosenheider BTW, lived 2 hours away in Alabama in 2006. But I'm still not sure if Gagnon was there in 2006. I think he was because it's been said that he lived with Grosenheider for the last 6 months to a year in Texas. So the circle imo, is getting tighter.

The quoting mechanism seems to have slipped there. I didn't say it was me that was angry at seeing the term- if you re-read it, the last paragraph was from me, the top part was from someone that I'd quoted (note the "[/QUOTE]" at the end of the first part).

I was apologizing to them for my own use of the term's having annoyed them.
They seemed annoyed that my use of the term was making light of it, and I was saying that I actually use the term as a means of conveying my contempt, and that if they'd heard me say it out loud my intonation would convey that. With just text to go my, certain nuances in communication are lost, sadly.

I think so as well. There are 3 people that have shown real and genuine grief, IMO. And that is Jim and Janet Bennett, and Savannah.
Everytime I even hear the others names, it makes me angry. Brooke was a beautiful sweet child that was let down and wound up dead because the people who were supposed to protect her from the evils of this world just simply failed her. There is no way around that.
Cassandra can say 'to hell with some people' all she wants. I do not need her permission to be angry with her for not being the mother she should have been. And I am angry beyond words at Denise. I do not see how that woman can even show her face in public.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!! As a parent, I learned never to ignore any hinky feeling I get when it comes to my kids. I don't care who it irritates. Tough. My bells have gone off before and I've been right every time. One example is when this 16 year old neighbor boy came by my house with a group of 9 and 10 year olds. They wanted to play in my yard. I said okay and stood there with my husband and watched them the ENTIRE time. After 5 minutes, I told my husband this is not kosher. So my husband told the boy--you're too old to be hanging around these young kids so I'm telling you not to come back to my house and do not go near my children or I'll have to protest. My husband is from the South, he calls it protesting when he'll kick someone's butt. 2 years later they arrested the kid (yup--child molesting) he got 20 years.

Her track record is such that it wouldn't surprise me at all. Cassandra by all indications is just as off as her sister. So. State troopers escorted Denise Jacques and her DAUGHTERS? Not just Courtney then. Was it AR with her? It also stated that Denise sat well away from the family.
I guess Denise is aware that some public sentiment is not kind to her. She has undoubtedly heard what some people might think of her for bringing that Jacques into the lives of innocent children.

When an adult that you trust uses the threat of hurting a sibling or the other parent if you don't do what I say.... the child is taken into the freaks fold.... lock stock and soul.
The only way out for her is lots of therapy. she has to be saved from herself at this point in time. Prayers wouldn't hurt either.

gigi, good for you,sounds like as a mother you are on top of things. I am a strong believer in a woman's intuition, I believe that as mothers we tend to pay attention to situations that don't seem right. I was in a relationship over 10 yrs ago,I noticed my boyfriend was becoming to friendly with my then 13 yr old. Needless to say I ended the relationship.
