Death Threats

I keep hearing that the Anthony family is receiving "daily" death threats.
(Tab on NG reported it tonight)
Has anyone heard specifics of this? Are they directed at Caylee, the family, Casey??
Are they by phone, mail, email?? Is LE taking them seriously and investigating them?

I saw it mentioned on NG tonight also, Cindy said phonecalls and cellphones. It's not surprising, there's bound to be at least a few people with all the publicity this has gotten and then they also have their phone numbers out there so it would be easy for a person to call.
Of course this is coming from the Anthony camp so I have to take it with a grain of salt, if I was in her situation I don't think I'd be advertising this fact because I'd think it would bring more crazies out of the woodwork, I'd be passing the information on to the authorities.

I really hope this isn't a ploy by the family to tie into their claims that some has kindnapped the baby. I have been waiting for this. Someone to SMILE when talking about a serious issue and it was today. It was George telling an interviewer...played a few times on NG tonight...that the message he wanted out to the people who took the baby, that they are being watched...then he says it is his own theory. If someone does a screen capture of it, that man is actually smiling. What is he trying to pull over on us? Susan Smith had this smile while crying, Scott Peterson had this smile when being interviewed, and George is the FIRST person I have seen actually smile while throwing up another idea of what may have happened to Caylee.

I would bet the threats would be investigated. How screwed up are people to make threats? What's the point of that? Does it make them feel powerful to send an anonymous threat? Disgusting behavior. They belong in a cell alongside Casey. I don't think it's a ploy. That Drew Peterson guy gets threats everyday, too. People are just crazy!

Cindy over exaggerates things sometimes (ex. I'm going to lose my husband, my daughter will be the mother of the year, etc). I'm sure they are getting some nasty, snide comments because ppl are fed up with the non-sense but if it were threatening, I think they would be making a huge deal out of it. IMO.

Per Cindy and George, the "threats" are being deleted and not turned over to LE. Their address is public. If someone really wanted to hurt them, they would mail a bomb or something (NOT advocating that at all, just giving a more feasible example than playing phone games).

I hate to think that they would do this for more sympathy, but, really, after what George said today about the kidnappers being under surveillance (or watched), I don't know if what they are saying is happening on earth or in their alternate reality.

Unbelievable, huh? The whole family is wacky-doodle. I want to know how the heck they are getting away with this behavior. I'm wondering about the police in Orange County. Are they just playing their cards right or are they just playing cards and eating donuts? Good God, I can't imagine these people getting away with this. Why aren't the police screaming in their faces?

This case reminds me way more of the Laci Peterson case than the Susan Smith case. The Anthonys are of the same mentality as the Petersons, who still back their son, who sits on death row. There are still some people in this world and even here at WS who believe that Scott is innocent, that the burglars took Laci, killed her, held her in water and then released her pregnant body into the ocean, all to frame poor Scott. If the day comes that little Caylee's body is found, I am sure that the Anthonys will claim that the kidnappers did this.

I hope I am wrong. I hope that these people turn out to be wacky-doodle in a good way but I am a realistic person. I am leaning towards the theory that Caylee drowned in the pool, by accident, and that Casey buried her somewhere, and concocted the story that she has told. She also went into crazy mode and remains there. She is a very sick girl.

What about the possibility that Casey INTENTIONALLY gave Caylee some Xanax (or other sleep aid like Benadryl) so she could party and/or work her possible escort/webcam job?!

Casey might have put a sleeping Caylee in the trunk of her car, and Caylee died from an overdose, the heat, asphyxiation or some combination. Casey could have also forgotten which cover story she was using as to Caylee's whereabouts, and forgot about Caylee in the car.

Upon discovering Caylee dead she panicked, and has been trying to cover her butt ever since.

I've read of parents who could not find a babysitter placing their children in trunks--so in the mind of a 22 year old "Party Mom" it is plausible.

It's probably more like this:

Cindy Anthony: "We are getting death threats so please send us MORE and MORE money so we can hire (security) **wink wink**"...

If this was a real kidnapping and a real family suffering from a child being missing I would break out my checkbook and send some money, no doubt but these people are not helping LE, they lie lie lie and they have lawyered up. No pity for them at all.

I would not be surprised if this is happening and Cindy is telling the truth. Prior to my employment my law firm worked for the archdiocese of our area helping negotiate settlements in some of the priest molestation cases. To this day we all recieve random death threats, even those who did not have anything to do with the cases. People are kooky and love to interject themselves into things.

Well now I can't wait for LE to investigate these calls. Most people are smart enough to know that LE can call them right back or show up at their doorstep.
Cindy and George better be careful since they are so used to "mistruths".

Your granddaughter has been kidnapped by someone SO dangerous that not even the FBI or Swat team would be able to rescue her so everyone in the family must remain silent. BUT.... the truth will come out later & we'll all see what they were talking about.

Now.... even though they face THAT dire situation w/ Caylee.... they think nothing of deleting incoming messages..... never stopping to consider whether it could be contact from the person who has Caylee???


Oh yeah..... that makes perfect sense..... IF you're a patient at a mental institution.

I think George is doing his best to establish " reasonable doubt " in the mind of anyone willing to follow him down this strange path.
