I love it when people trust their instincts! Kudos to this woman for calling the police!!

HOWEVER, what the heck is the father doing letting these girls go with this man when there were already "warning signs"? What?! Definitely some serious child neglect IMO. I'm just glad they are safe now....
 
I'm so glad waitress went with her gut instinct. God, ony knows what he would of done to these little girls. :(
 
That dad is complicit. Most dad's would have pulverized the guy that took inappropriate pictures of his daughter...this guy just erases them.
 
Alleged Daddy saw naked pictures of the girls and just erased them??? Then sent them off camping with this guy? Something seriously wrong here, IMO.
 
These girls wearing makeup and miniskirts were aged 4 and 6.

When detectives arrived they found a very uneasy Sherwood. They asked if he took the girls to the bathroom, and Sherwood said, "Yes, I took her to the restroom. I had to show her how to clean herself so that thing won't get to stinking."

The police report also reveals the evidence police found on Sherwood.

WTF @ the father!!!!!! Way to go dad... readily handing off your children to a predator, knowing full well what the man was all about. *grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*

Thank goodness that waitress ran with her gut feeling and called LE...
 
God bless this waitress and I pray these girls weren't given back to their father. He's either the dumbest person on earth or he knew what was going on and allowed it to happen.

The old man, I hope he rots in prison.

Did anyone see anything about where mom might be?

Thank goodness, the first thing I thought was this dad should not have them either, he definitely doesn't know how to keep them safe from danger or doesn't care!
 
In my opinion, dad knew exactly what was going on. Dad needs to be investigated as well. WTF? I swear this stuff gets me so riled up.

Those SICK parents! COME ON. That old man probably paid the parents to take the kids with him. Perhaps they are crack addicts.
 
My guess is that Dad has been abusing them all along as well. I hope they are NEVER returned to the parents. Wonder why the mother is being so quiet. If she were innocent, I would expect an outspoken statement of hatred and disbelief about her husband and their "friend".:furious: Makes me sick!
 
Police arrived and began questioning Sherwood. At the same time, authorities in Florida contacted the girls' father. The father told police Sherwood was a family friend and had permission to take the girls on a camping trip. However, the father told police that he was under the impression that Sherwood was only taking the girls to a site in South Florida, and knew nothing of plans to go out of state

The father needs to be charged in this ASAP! I am so pissed.

I am ready to call and demand the father be investigated.

The children's parents aren't facing any charges, right now, but the police report does say the father admitted to Florida authorities he knew Sherwood had taken inappropriate pictures of his daughters in the past. The children remain in protective custody.

Oh man, I thought this was gonna be a heart-warming story of a waitress stepping in before those girls were abused. MAN was I way off.
I agree with other posters. I think if Daddy willingly let them go "camping" with a ma he KNEW was abusing his children he is just as guilty. Nail both of their arses to the wall,imo

Remember a year a so ago when the woman was traveling and saw a child in a convenience store with a man? She feared the child was abused and set out to see if perhaps she had been kidnapped? I think her name was Tracy and she insisted that LE look into it.

Turned out to be a couple of travelers, and their children, children were removed and the parents incarcerated.

What this woman did reminds me of Tracy. Both women looked at the child, heard their intuition, and acted on that intuition. That in itself takes guts. And they did it and they followed through.
