I'm watching GA - maybe he and CA need a new attorney because it appears that he didn't advise that this is a "real" deposition and they we be held accountable for the conflicting statements between this depo and their original interviews with LE and FBI - anything they say in court will be discredited

Note to George: The real person you need to be angry with is your daughter! He comes off as so arrogant-- as if he is so much better than answering those questions. Well, the reality is, he wouldn't be there if his daughter hadn't done what she did and hadn't implicated an innocent person or innocent people (since Grund and others were in the line of fire at one point).

I really thought that he was going to fake a heart attack and have to be carried out on a stretcher. Mitnick (a/k/a the pit bull) would have followed the stretcher all the way to the hospital. He didn't let him worm his way out of answering any question. He really did a good job.

I agree. And George tried every way he could. Did you notice when Mitnik or Morgan said, "Let's get this now so you don't have to come back." George said, "I won't be coming back."
Made me wonder if he was threatening another suicide....the way he threatens to stop talking by reaching for his microphone.

She's the one who ripped and tore your family apart! Put the blame where it belongs and own up to your own responsibility in this! Stand up, act like a man and do the right thing for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE! Ugh! Sorry for the rant...I'm so over this family and their refusal to stand up and do what's right for Caylee!

GEORGE ANTHONY: As far as other moneys that my daughter was taking, she took a small quarter coin collection that I had. And I know she has been taking money from my granddaughter`s bank because I`m always dropping a buck, 5 bucks, quarters. You know, one day you go in there and that bank is heavy. And it`s a good-size piggy bank. And you know you put money in there. You know it. There`s nothing.
She`s taken money from my wife`s purse...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK. You started to...
GEORGE ANTHONY: Twenty dollars, forty dollars, maybe more than that at a time.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You started to use the word there that you hesitated in -- you started to say -- you stopped.
GEORGE ANTHONY: Steal.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Is that how you feel about it or is that how your wife feels about it?
GEORGE ANTHONY: Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Is there any doubt in your mind that`s what she was doing?
GEORGE ANTHONY: No because we have all the information that she`s done it.

GEORGE ANTHONY: Yes, with our account.

GEORGE ANTHONY: No. No. Because, as a matter of fact, we didn`t even bring up Zanny`s name. Our granddaughter is a pretty bright little girl. No, she never...

Like father, like daughter. His threatening to leave and not come back reminded me of KC when GA AND CA visited her at the jail. When questions started moving towards Caylee, KC got MAD and threatened to get up and walk away. Now I know where KC learned her behavior. That's what this family does. When they can't take the heat, they run from the kitchen. Cowards. Total cowards.

Agreed, and this brings up something I have been thinking about ... as much as I dislike these people, I am fearful they will take their martyrdom to the ultimate extreme. Literally sacrificing their lives so that they don't have to be accountable for any statements they have made about their daughter once they are called to testify at her criminal trial.

G.A. is so arrogant, and very defensive, in this deposition. Still protecting the wrong one, which is typical in the crazy creepy Anthony family..All I could do initially reading the depo is cry inside for baby Caylee..Geeze, this family is sicker than I ever could have imagined..
I know in my heart Justice for Caylee will prevail in the end, but, it is witnessing all the sickness in that family, in the mean time that is so darn hard to take..........

Perjury during a deposition in a civil case rarely gets prosecuted, from my understanding... :|

It would tickle me pink, though, if someone pushed to prosecute this blatant in-your-face lying George just took part in. Enough is enough... this family thinks that they can lie and lie and lie and get away with it.

I almost feel like that maybe we are finally seeing the real George...

I've always thought it's more of a perjury trap setup for the criminal trial, rather than the civil one. If they testify in Casey's criminal trial, they'll have to tread very very carefully. They'll either have to admit that they lied under oath in the civil case which kills any credibility they have as a witness, or open themselves to perjury charges should they mis-step.

All I can say is I am so glad I had the parents I had. They would never do what Cindy and George did and are doing, it is just so wrong on so many levels.
