BTW, here's an article that mentions JB and one of the SO's failed parts of their lie detector tests. The SO is most likely GK.

Linkage

Monroe County sheriff's Maj. Dan Motylinski said Buchanan and a man who is a convicted sex offender failed questions on the lie-detector test. The man is in custody in another case.

"At this point they are not suspects," said Motylinski, who denied that the mother was held against her will.

I wonder what that is all about? :waitasec:

The article is from March 26th and yet I haven't heard any more about it. I wonder why? :waitasec:

Good Morning, Peliman. Thanks for posting the enlarged photo showing the proximity of the motel and the concrete yard. Too close to ignore, imo. It could be a coincidence, but when I googled it Thursday night, the image ran shivers up my spine.

I haven't caught up on my reading, so maybe this has been explained already but I'm confused about the timeline. In the thread 3 someone posted a myspace for someone called Aaron and Joanne who supposedly were the neighbours with whom Nevaeh ate at 3:30.

http://www.freep.com/article/20090606/NEWS05/906060405/0/NEWS05
says the neighbor was Crystal Kuhn. Is this the same family as Joanne and Aaron? Joanne's myspace has photos of Krystal and Austin.
respectfully snipped
Apparently, Krystal is Aaron's ex and the mother of Aaron and his sister. She lives in the same complex. As for the timeline, it's still sketchy. There are many variations of the events that day from many different sources.

You rang?
Hi, Chilly. I had an "I told you so" moment last night and wanted to tease you a bit. Now I see I've missed you again. ;)

A reporter mentioned last night that LE is interested in a white GMC pickup truck. Any new info on that?

Welcome bessie, the mom is starting to rise up the ladder a bit more for me too. Somethings going on between these two but not sure what. She tries to disassociate and distance herself from him.

He claimed to be the father figure, she rips up a letter to him. Flunks one question on the poly about him. Steely Dan raises a good question. I don't know what to make of her time-line. Seems to be a good bit of time passed before moms last seen and reporting her missing, I/E the NG show part 2 which is on youtube.

Her or family is setting up to throw him under the bus.

IMO of course, just saying.

Bravo, Bessie! It does seem you may have nailed that one and it adds more pointing towards GK. Things keep leaning in his direction and may be piling up now.

I read on MT that allegedly a half-burnt surgical glove was found in the old speedo-wearing guy's firepit. That would possibly explain pouring/mixing the cement. However d/t a bag of cement weighing 90 pounds......If he is involved, I doubt he carried it himself which leads to the common thought that more than one person was involved. But he does raise alot of suspicison based on his "burning trends" of receipts and waiting till approx 10 min after police left to start up the fire again.

Another thing, for some reason I cannot get out of my head rubbers being found in GK's motel room. I just find that very strange........I am assuming that the poor little girl was molested and PURELY speciulating that if GK is involved that he may have worn a rubber to try to cover DNA evidence. I hope the police/FBI confiscated the rubbers for comparison purposes if necessary.

Something that has been bothering me.
What 5 year old comes home to change their clothes?
Have the parents of the friend she was playing with said anything about her getting really messy and maybe they suggested to her that she go change? Were the clothes she changed out of still there to be checked?

It breaks my heart to find out how this little girl was failed by so many.

Good morning WS's! Does this look like the area where they found Nevaeh? TIA

(Bold by Me)

This article peeked my curiousity yesterday as to why the Greenwood Apartments area was searched very early on - not only did someone obviously give police information that led them there to search right away, GK and GF Savannah, on their own, went there as well. It seems to me that Navaeh may have had a friend that lived there - whatever the case may be it appears that Navaeh had gone/been to Greenwood Apartments before (prior to her disappearance). Interestingly there is a SO that lives at 1256 Maple Blvd. which is directly onroute to Greenwood Ave where the Greenwood Apartments are located. Additionally I couldn't help but notice that if you follow Maple Blvd south all the way to the end, you come to E. Elm St. If you take a right onto E. Elm St, E Elm St. turns into W Elm St which then becomes N Custer Road - the road where Navaeh's body was found. It may be nothing and completely coincidental but I thought that I'd at least mention it in the event that the name or location sparks a thought with someone else. Below is a link to the RSO that I'm referring to.
Just to throw in another option from a former local with deep roots: If we were already on the North side of town such as this address is, we would rarely head south all the way down to Elm St and go through town to get to South or North Custer unless we were already going somewhere inside of town. Our family usually did because our last residence was on Michigan Avenue between Noble and Elm and it was easier. However, for people who live that far down on Maple Blvd, and for that matter, all of the streets south of Monroe St, they all have tons of stop signs to slow down the through traffic because it's so residential. Therefore, most people on that side of town usually head toward one of the main cross streets that would take them up towards Monroe Street. If I wanted to avoid the local two lane traffic and more specifically, LE, I would have taken Stewart Rd to Telegraph to get to the West side, or even taken Stewart west to N Raisinville Rd, headed south and exited directly onto North Custer. The routes out that way are more rural, less traffic, and definitely less chances of running into LE if you were looking to hide a body along the river. Due to the fact that fishing has always been such a local pass time, no one would even think twice of someone parking on the side of the road and going down to the river front with a "large Coleman" and a fishing pole.

haven't finished reading yet, so sorry if this has been answered.
I don't see Kennedy taking care of single mothers...I mean the guy had no job and was living in a motel. I think he found codependent mothers, who couldn't mother their own children but wanted to "take care of him". I know the puppy dog eyes, the "I'm really a good guy"...cause I married one (not an SO, but a felon all the same....they're so charming, it's just amazing).
In addition, I also don't see Kennedy covering for anyone else, I see him saving his own skin and throwing 2nd person under the bus. If he has done that, well police haven't taken anyone in yet. And if he hasn't? I think he's honestly clueless.

Also - IMO - The mother is just as guilty as whoever did this - whether she was actually involved or not --- Shame on you for doing what ever it is you were doing that was more important than watching your daughter.

Last night on the way back from our sons graduation - we passed two girls MAYBE 5 and 6 riding down the street by theirselves in bathsuit tops and shorts --- (Keep in mind it was almost 9 pm at night - no street lights) hubby got out of the car - and thankfully had SOME idea who the parents were and escorted them both home (Im sure he had a few choice words for the parents)

Sorry about the ramble but my point is WTF is WRONG with parents --- Someone today was talking about how "things have changed" and they used to be allowed to wander around by theirselves for 8-10 hours a day --- My parents NEVER let us wander around unsupervised - as a teen it sucked -- but now that Im older - Im thankful!
Respectfully snipped by me... I am in agreement with your post wholeheartedly. My mama watched us like hawks and now that I am grown I too am thankful. I am the same way with my kids. When my kids were little, I would not even let them out in my front yard unsupervised. I was constantly watching them. My youngest is now 17 and I will not even let him walk down the street (about 2 miles), instead I choose to drive him. They have always told me that I worry too much. I tell them that I love them more than anything in this world, and I don't mind driving him.

I commend your husband for taking those children back to their parents. I see small children unsupervised in my area as well and I am amazed. I just could not do that. I would be out of my mind with worry. I would have to have my eye on my kids at all times. But that's just me.

debbie0604:
I am one of the those people who ran freely during the summer months.
Granted, this was a long time ago and we lived out in the country.
But, we were protected in another way.
We always went places as a family. The grocery store. Penneys store. The movies. Out to eat. Visits with other family.
I did not spend an overnight until I was 16 yrs old.

My children grew up in the same town. I treated them the same as my parents had done for me.
Than when the oldest was 13, two little 11 yr old girls were abducted and murdered a few days after Christmas. That changed everything.
My grandchildren have outside 'boundaries.' This means basically the front yard, which I can see from the living room.

I read on MT that allegedly a half-burnt surgical glove was found in the old speedo-wearing guy's firepit.

WAITWAITWAIT

I read somewhere last night that a glove was recovered from the burial site......are we sure there was one glove in each place???

OK, no, the glove WAS at the site, only it was burned:

Mr. Bickley said remnants of a fire were at the fishing area, which was below a steep bank. Both men said they saw a partially burned latex surgical glove near it. He also recalled seeing a dark colored, small pickup parked along the road when he drove past the area two days after Nevaeh was reported missing.

What does Easter drive again?

I am so sooooooooooooooooo mad i could spit !

Polly Klass,Danielle VanDam,Jessie Lunsford, Samantha Runnion, Caylee Anthony, Sandra Cantu and soooooooooo many others that never make the headlines and now Nevaeh. ( Yea, have to remember how heaven is spelled backwars to spell her name .. a precious name.. why not her life treated more precious!!!?)

I am sick of hearing about these cases! I havent had the heart even in last months to add new victims in my "gone too soon" montage on myspace and now i am mad and sick that they are SOOOOOOOOOO many "gone too soon" since i added !! What is the world came to! ?
How can these evil sob's do these terrible things to kids and them throw them in swamp, woods, bury them alive after killing , molesting them!??? HOW< HOW HOW Can they do this!!!! makes me mad , angry!!!!!!!!!!

Rest in peace sweet Nevaeh! I am so sorry you had to go through so much hell! You did not deserve this !

It turns out that I made a mistake regarding the location of Greenwood Apartments. I did some more searching and found the Monroe County Housing Commission website. There I found the address 20 N. Roessler for Greenwood Apartments (Below is a pic). The reason that I thought it was the other complex was because Greenwood Ave was the only item that came up on google map and when I saw the apartment complex on Greenwood Ave I assumed that it was the right place - Know what they say about ASSuming ;) Anyhow since your familiar with the area, do you recognize the pic below as being Greenwood Apartments? It's become apparent to me that Nevaeh was allowed to wander quite a distance unsupervised. There's also a RSO that lives in this apartment building :bang: This is a 2 mile walk from her home. Looking at the google map from 1166 N Macomb to 20 N Roessler, I'm wondering if she cut thru St. Joseph's cemetary to get onto Lavender - it's just hard to imagine that she would be allowed to go that far on her own but that's where the police searched early on that evening and GK and his girlfriend Savannah went there too.

I'm not from the area, so I'm not sure, but to me that looks a lot like the pictures of the area I've been seeing on the news and whatnot. Great job nomoresorrow. It looks really similar to me.

Watching how sweetly she ran to get her head start dipolma here in this short video makes my heart ache so much for her. She should be running and playing now ! :(
