So it was George who used the debit card? I feel for this family but most of all I worry for that little girl. If it was George who used the debit card why did he just not say so when he was on TV all those times? If he has nothing to hide that is...very sad case. I hope for a resolution soon for the family.
 
I thought it was said a woman purchased the movie at best buy. Who was with Geo. when he bought the movie? Or were they mistaken?
 
This story was just on the Dr. Phil show. George is supposed to be going to take a poly and the results will be on tomorrow.

AUSTIN, Texas (CBS) A little over three months after Julie Ann Gonzalez was reported missing by her aunt, recently released court documents reveal that Austin police have been investigating her estranged husband, George De La Cruz, as a person of interest in the case since early May, and turned up some potentially incriminating evidence while serving a search warrant that same month.

I am in the Austin area, and have been following this case. I am shocked that we are now hearing that police had forensic evidence in May, and believe that De La Cruz murdered Julie Ann Gonzales, and they have not arrested him. What more could they possibly need? How could they leave that baby girl with someone they highly suspect of murder, and who tried to kill himself before? She should be with her mother's family.

Right. Not sure what's up with that. I pulled this out from Jane Valez-Mitchell show that aired last night, but the video clip shown was from a previous show with the aunt.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SOTO: There was one credit card purchase.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What was that for?

SOTO: It was purchased at Best Buy. They showed me the video and they asked me to identify the person who used the credit card and it was not her. It was a female but it is not her. Julie is five feet tall, very petite, not long-legged. The person who was on the video was obviously not Julie.

De La Cruz's attorney, Patrick Fagerberg, refutes the reports and suspicions against his client saying that De La Cruz has a "watertight alibi" "from morning till night" for the day that Gonzalez went missing, according to CNN.

As for the debit card and keys to the abandoned car Fagerberg told the news channel that "there [is] an innocent explanation for everything that happened that day."

Thank you cloudajo. At first I thought to myself did George dress up like a woman and try to pass himself off as Julie? (only for about 1.5 seconds, then I got tickled at myself).

I have no doubt though that he was using that debit to create a papertrail but he wasn't smart enough to realize that he would be on camera in each store. :no: JMHO.

Actually, he seems odd enought to do something like that.

One article mentions he has 2 sisters. Not sure if this is one of the sisters in the video at 2nd link starting at about 2:17 standing near George and his mother, from when LE went to his house with the search warrant.

Fagerberg maintains that De La Cruz had no part in Julie Ann’s disappearance. He said he picked up his sisters, shopped at Wal-Mart, and ate at McDonald’s the day she disappeared in March.

I went to open Julie's FB page and my security software went crazy. There were 12 viruses including Malware & Trojans, eeekkkk, be careful.

If I do a google search on "find julie ann gonzalez" the first link is to the FB page setup by her family. I notice that if I search on "facebook find julie ann gonzalez" I get a different link which may be the one causing a problem?

Not sure, but anyway, I had no issues with the FB page. There are a lot of photos of Julie Ann and daughter L posted on the wall by her family, and a really cute video of her and L posted on Aug 15th (go to "older posts" on the wall).

A benefit at "the ghost room", kinda odd but oh well. They are hoping to raise money and awareness for the crime. I wonder if the money will be used as a reward for information leading to this poor mom Julie.
