Not that cellphones work all that well in the mountains and valleys.

Summer, if you are reading (and i hope you are) ... I want to THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication to these threads, and the fact that you never stop digging.

I have no other way to be in touch with you, so just want to say I'll miss your posts and wish you were still here.

Bumping for May. I'm no river search expert but I don't understand why a boat with sonar isn't being used if the water conditions are such that divers can't go in the water. Praying they find her soon.

I wonder if there is even an effort to find May at all - no new news about this at all. Really sad when you think about it.

Bumping for May. I can't believe they found the crash site two months ago and still haven't found May's car or her body.

Any news? Maybe I missed something, but I have not heard if this lady was found or not.

Police Still Find River Too Murky To Search for Missing Woman. RCMP keeping a close eye on the Clearwater River. The search for 81-year-old May Milling remains on hold - months after the woman disappeared.

The woman was travelling from Jasper to Kamloops in September - and a crash site in the North Thompson valley was found in October.

Are there any waterways anywhere along the route she drove, such as a creek, lake, pond, or river?

Also, are there any rest areas along the route?

Yep.

Unfortunate outcome.

"This past Saturday police were notified that a wallet, belonging to Milling was found along a channel of the North Thompson River. Police tracked back upstream to where they found a crash site on Highway 5."

Bump for this lovely lady.

We haven't forgotten you May.

Over the past few years there have been several elderly people who have gone missing on their way to or from the Kamloops area. May’s wallet was found on the North Thompson’s River Edge. Police searched further and found her vehicles registration. The car has not been located but the police will continue to look this spring.

RCMP haven’t given up on finding May Milling’s body but friends and family believe the time has come to say goodbye.

A service is planned for Milling, 81, at Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club in Gibsons on May 1. Friend Jenny John said the date is appropriate given it’s May Day.

“Instead of a funeral service it will be a celebration of life,” John said Sunday. “The family is ready to move on and friends want to get this done.”

Luckyducky, that is the first that I have heard about this missing man - what in tarnation is going on out there!?

Tree was last seen turning north on Highway 5 from Highway 1 at 11 a.m. on Oct. 5 in his 1993 White four door/red interior Lincoln Town Car B.C. licence # 129-ETD.

Tree lived in Brocklehurst and may have been returning home prior to heading to Kelowna for a planned business meeting that day. He never arrived at his meeting in Kelowna and failed to return to Kamloops at the expected time. He has not been seen or heard from since. It is not known which route Tree may have taken to Kelowna

She said no one knows where Tree could have gone or why he would disappear without talking to his family. Dunsmore said Tree's bank accounts have not been used.

Tree owns Imprint City, a digital printing, scanning and embroidery business. Employees said he left the store at about 11 a.m. on Oct. 5 and may have been headed for Kelowna, but he didn't arrive.
