Will ica walk out of court free on thursday?

I think HHJP will agree with the DT and release Casey on time-served. I have lost my faith in the Judge for whom I had the utmost respect early in the case. I'm afraid that his eagerness to "move the case along" might have resulted in the NOT GUILTY verdicts. I also wonder if the jurors felt that HHJP was too hard on JB and the defense team. Perhaps they felt that the Judge spent too much time telling Baez how to do things and they somehow felt that HHJP was "picking" on him. I would like to think that Judge Perry would make a sincere effort to placate the thousands of people who are displeased with the verdict that renders Casey a free woman as early as tomorrow, but I don't think it will happen. I fear there will never be Justice for Caylee :(

Actually, he could make her serve about two more years, if he gives her the max for each charge of lying, takes into consideration the time served since Jan 2010 (about 18 months) when her time served ran out for the check charges and she gets the almost mandatory 15% off for good behavior. That would be the max. I don't think she will get out tomorrow and it will be better for everyone if she doesn't, IMO. Even her.

Thanks for saying this. This is what I am thinking and hopeing.

These are my thoughts too. Well not the part about JB. I do wish he had spent less time hurring things up and more time explaining things to the jury.

Technically she could still be made to serve 2.5 years. A few of the defense lawyers on Greta said he should make her do the time because she lied to cops and wasted a fortune. I hope JP does make her serve it.

I absolutely agree. Why would/should HHBP give her a free pass? Because she has been locked up unjustly this past few years? He's a tough judge and I think he'll have few choice words for her tomorrow regarding the crime for which she was found guilty. The only reason I can think of to give her time served is because he wants her the heck out of Orlando.

I believe she will walk free on thursday
she wont be going back to the Anthony home...If she did, I believe protesters will show up again and it would be dangerous for her, her family and the neighborhood..

IMO she will go to a safer location, maybe the home of one of the DT that is in a gated community

I suppose I'm in the minority on this one, but I've decided that I want her to be released tomorrow, while the verdict is still in the news.

While I'm certainly not condoning any violence towards her, that doesn't mean I particularly mind the thought of an uncomfortable Casey looking over her shoulder for the rest of her bella vita.

I agree. If the public has to deal with a murderer being set free, I say, let the murderer be set out to the public.

I want her in jail with the big girls SO BADLY. They hate child murderers more than the men. They would tear her to pieces in there.

Just one more year, in GP, and I'll be happy.

And if I read later on tomorrow that she was hit by a bus or something tragic happens, I'll consider it a good day. Then maybe I can feel that there was justice for Caylee.

Yep! How iornic would that be! Casey....under the bus......:great:

At first my thought's were that she will get time served and will be released on Thursday. After much thought on this, I am now thinking this will not be the case. I think because of all the justified outrage and I am thinking they will consider her safety and release her sometime soon after Thursday and quietly in the middle of the night.
If I'm wrong and they do release her tomorrow, I think the sheriff's office will escort her to where ever she will be living.

P.S. My porch light is shining bright tonight for Caylee!

I'm confused by the consecutive vs concurent thing in that I don't know if that is totally up to the judge or whether there are guidelines he must follow that determine that. However, I am hoping that she gets one year per count to be served consecutive and that time served can only start from January of last year when she was sentenced for check fraud and given time served for those offenses. I mean, it isn't possible that time served gets to count for both is it? And didn't the judge sentence her in late January to time served at that time on the check fraud charges? So wouldn't that mean that the only time she's been in jail that could be considered time served on these charges would be since January 2010? And wouldn't that mean be only 1 1/2 years so if she got 4 years to be served consecutive, wouldn't that mean she still had 2 1/2 years to go?

I realize that isn't much considering what she is getting away with, but I'm sure hoping that she doesn't walk out free tomorrow. Someone may have asked about this time served regarding the check fraud before as I haven't had time to read the whole thread, but for now, I'm hoping that the time prior to the check fraud sentencing won't count in any sentence she receives tomorrow.

Just curious, but what exactly did you do with those 3 yrs of your life while seeking Justice For Caylee?

I am a Grandmother with Granddaughters ( one of which is Caylee's age ) that has just spent 3 yrs of my life seeking Justice for Caylee!.......

I thought that is what it stood for all along.

The interesting thing about it is, if she gets freed on Thursday she can still be called ICA for Innocent Casey Anthony. :banghead:

So will Casey have Body Guards protecting her 24/7 for the rest of her life?

Will anybody find out where Casey will be living?

And are people more upset about Casey being released than Karla H. being released in Canada?

To me the judge seemed pretty disgusted after he read the verdicts. I'm thinking he isn't going to let her walk away. I don't know exactly what all he can require of her, but I hope he can require that she get her GED, get counseling, job training, etc. I know we have a program at our women's facility that includes all of those requirements, and the "residents" must work inside the facility as well. Ironically, given her charges she'd fit right in to our local program (which is designed for non-violent offenders).

What you are suggesting is a felony.
Same goes for those this forum who are threatening members of the Jury.
Same for those who want to hurt the Anthony family.

I really love some of the intelligent minds on this forum, but if calling the person I quoted a lynch mob ******* gets me banned... :seeya:

I have not read any threats made toward any members of the jury OR the Anthony family. While some, including myself, are upset about the verdict and the A's conduct through all of this, we have every right to express our thoughts and opinions on that. Our moderators are terrific here and I would suggest that you hit on the alert button if you actually see a personal threat made toward a juror or the Anthony's.

It is confusing. On the check charges I think she got time served. Which would have been about 1.5 years. If the judge gives her 4 years then I am not sure if it starts on day one so that her 1.5 years for check and then these new charges start at the same time or
or if they start now. Or if they start after that last judgement for the check charges.

Sooooo If it starts at day one of her being in jail then she would have about a year left. But they have buy time for good behavior. I don't know how much she has. So it would be maybe 6-8 months? But then if he lumps them all together then no she has served more than the one year since the check charges. So it would be time served again.
