betcha they have completely moved past him now and he is a "bottle or a tire" (re: what Det. said about casting a wide net like fishing and throwing out the bottles and tires until you are left with the fish)

I further bet they are loving that his arrest maybe let the real perp relax a bit (moo)

:moo:

I think Nick is the real perp. Moo.

I dont even have it in me to consider he isnt. I think the net and bottle and tire thing was about getting all the information . You could be right but Kelli was last since with a violent sex offender and I dont want to get to far away from that . I tried researching cases where the person was last seen with a violent sex offender but I hit Naveahs case and decided to stop.

The perp would have to be familiar with that area! moo :waitasec:

I totally agree!

We need to have evidence tho - like hinky phone records, something weird about his old car/new car story, peeps (other than his father) who claim they spent time with him on Friday night and Saturday - or store receipts he used with his own credit card from that time, etc.

VOH,
Was Mike there at the search area? He did not go on camera with the rest of the family during the presser and was just wondering if he was there?

(thanks for searching!)

I was a bit gobsmacked by this video...either I am getting very cynical or Mike also seems like he is hiding something...did anyone notice Matt elbow Mike around the 2nd last question? What was that about? I didn't hear the word "actually" in this piece...must be in another interview? ^i^

Storm.. I saw the elbow too. What I saw was.... Matt L, asked a question to Matt (bro.) but Mike started answering the question. I think the elbow was for that.

I don't know if people who use those phrases are generally hiding something.

I think for many people, "to be honest" is sort of like "umm", just a nervous space-filler.

Then, sometimes, a person is just pointing out that he or she is being honest, especially when what they are saying is not what they think the other person is expecting or wants to hear.

Case in point (BBM):

haha! But I also do a lot of academic writing. And I suppose I could have gone back and through everything, but i was kind of lazy. But you did call it on me. I give you that.

I'll post this again without naming anyone because this was my alternative angle.

We have heard that this case seems personal. We have all been discussing that it IS personal. So, I'm going with another angle.

As a medic Kelli would probably do screenings of soldiers who go on sick call or are about to be deployed overseas. Soldiers often try to get a medical profile which states that are non-deployable to a combat area. As an E4 which is what a specialist is, she would do or help do the inital examination to determine if a soldier deserved a noncombat medical profile. She may even have had the job of typing up the doctor's evaluation reports.

If you were a soldier who didn't want to go back into combat, would you try to bribe someone to stay out of combat? However, what if she couldn't be bribed? Then she would have placed herself in danger. What if a soldier, like a PFC showed up at her home to try to convince her to alter a report, and she refused. She was spooked by something that night, and didn't want to get out of the car, could this have been why?

There may not have been any criminal intent, but the situation got out of hand. JMHO

or perhaps live in the area?? the detective also talked directly to people in the area (I think it could have possibly been sending two messages?)

Saw the interview also, I think Matt elbowed Mike because the question was directed to Matt but Mike answered...

VOH, thanks for being on the thread, sorry that you have to go through worrying about your friend's wellbeing.

BBM-What was the circumstance that caused them to volunteer that information, do you know? TIA

For Kelli - no. For Nick. Some of the regulars teased him.

Ok,now I'm not so sure about nh,maybe he really did drop her off where he said. the only thing that sticks out,is the quote from her,she got spooked and wanted out of the car,but did not want out.I'm confused on that part.moo

If this was referencing where was he during the PC, my guess is New York. I haven't watched but I believe it was an in person interview on the Today Show, not a taped one or over the phone.

I think (just guessing) that they were in the local area as her brother was there too (and he was at the presser)

Where did they get that picture. Was it on her facebook?????? why was she holding the phone in front of her face? did somebody else take that picture?

I also agree. I call my wife and children 2 or 3 times a day when I'm away on business or for whatever reason. Especially, at night when it's time for the children's bedtime.

I know they didn't have children, but I called my wife all the time when I was away, prior to having children and I traveled a great deal.

We don't know that no one else tried to contact Kelli - we only know that they hadn't heard from her.

(And I'm positive I'm gonna be a suspect someday, as will others in my family, as when we're all scattered, we can indeed go days without a call or text - each busy with their own things. But we have great reunions once we return home.) :D

I'm still wondering what this 12am deal on Ramsey is?

I mean if she left around 1am/1:30am, what does 12am have to do with it?

Wonder if there was a scuffle or fight at that time?
