This case is pretty much unprecedented. It's hard to apply the usual handbooks and guidelines to it. And most of us are very uneasy right now, maybe with good reason, maybe because we have given in to mass hysteria.

But let's not forget who we are. We don't call each other names. Attack the idea, and the post that expresses it, but do not attack the poster. Due to the anonymity that we all get to enjoy, let's not publicly accuse anyone of being anyone other than who they say they are. We have some class, let's not let one troll destroy it. What has really made an impression on me (aside from the obvious) is how EASY (albeit time-consuming) is it to create a cult of personality for one's self by relentlessly spamming the interwebz.

I mean, this guy's full time job in essence has just been sitting at home and playing sock puppet theater and posting cheesy photos of himself on every possible site whilst making comments amounting to "Oh, that Luka? He's a well known top *advertiser censored* star and the love of Karla Homolka's life! And he invented Post-it's and is breathtakingly handsome!".

Admittedly, I never heard of him prior to this, but I have read many posts that acknowledge he already had some notoriety and somewhat of a buzz going before this murder and video release.

All the more reason not to believe what you read online. This guy obviously had ZERO real life for him to have so much time spent knitting sock puppets and is probably not the normal troll, but there are enough trolls out there posting whatever the hell they want with no restrictions that everything really ought to be rather suspect.

That being said... where the heck did this $2 hookah get the funds for a $1,200 round trip plane ticket much less the $6,500 - $8,000 for cheek implants? He was arrested for fraud, credit card fraud, and impersonation several years ago. Could be he stole it. He's been planning it for 6 months, if not years so he must have saved up cash.

It is not out of the realm of possibilities that he may have continued his 2 bit criminal activities but to gather large amounts of money - he just doesn't seem crafty enough to pull it off. As speculated by others there may be other unknown victims that have yet to be identified from which he could have stolen funds.

In addition - the idea that he could obtain fake passports and identification so easily... I'm no criminal mastermind but I'd think high quality documents that could get you in and out of countries and through customs would cost thousands of dollars and you would need very good connections. I just don't see LM having the ability to make those sort of "friends".

It just doesn't add up. Insanely wealthy individuals (pun intended) don't give money out to just anyone - especially not to the type of person LM has paraded himself out to be. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to identify obvious trash.

True but I am glad someone is looking in to that angle because a snuff film will indeed bring someone A LOT of money, some ruch folks are very eccentric and like to buy whatever strikes their fancy.

His plan to escape may also reflect why he stayed in that small appartment, he may have had that money already, but planned to use it for later. As for the killing part...it is plausible it may have been removed for the client, but it is also possible that his face was visible while doing it so he removed that part....anyways... he may have been paid for that but given his personnality...I think he may have done it more for himself and the attention than for a contract no? Again...still my personal opinion and I have no qualification in psychology....

Sure anything is possible at this point, my thinking is though if youre going to make a snuff film and risk a life in prison you may as well market it (which he did) and sell it (which he may have).

Considering he has a history on the deep web where such things are actively sought out, I think its likely he sold it, edited out the kill shot for the buyer and is now living it up, he obviously has money, I dont think he is poor.

Yes, definitely just a theory, but still a good one.
It is possible that he had planned doing something like this for a while, for the attention, and shopped around for a buyer before committing the crime.
