Well now we know she wasn't run over in front of the Circle K. Never again will we have to listen to that argument.

Sorry for answering my own post, but all of the details are in the plea agreement, including how he moved Mickey's body around. :(
--------------
Just a question. Even if the defendant, attorney, etc. attest that everything in the statement is true, can the defendant still be lying?

Well, golly, gee wiz, could a perp. tell a lie?

Well if the rumor is true that BSL got upset with the RSO label (credence to this rumor is him trying to obscure the RSO on license) then I would imagine he left out all the sexual perversion he might have done. MOOOOOOOOOO

she almost got him for sure for his injuries were described as close to fatal.

Oh, dear Lord. He was riding around, calling escort services (prostitutes) before he happened upon Mickey. In other words, had it not gone so horribly wrong, it would have been a sex crime :maddening:

That man is a coward in the worst sense, and none too bright. He was completely unprepared for how vicious such a small woman could be.

I think all of the Hub City can be very proud of Mickey for how violently and cunningly she fought for herself. An incredible legacy, to die a victim and yet so fantastically mark her attacker. There is no doubt in my mind that, by her actions, she saved other women from being taken at a later date.

I'm waiting for BSL to be named a suspect in at least three more murders in both Acadiana and in Texas.

If Mickey had laid dead in the field, I wonder if she would have been buried or just left there and able to escape. I hope this conviction doesn't lessen their investigation of his other possible crimes.

There was no rape, Mighty Mick saved herself from this whiney baby bafoon. So many sleuthers commented on "how could he dig a hole with injuries..." He couldn.t! I am just amazed at this woman who layed down her own life so that others will be spared from this monster.

Boy, cajun chardonney just said it so much more eloquently... I just dont have it in me right now.

He never got the chance to rape Mickey. I find comfort in this. She stopped him from his intentions and stopped him for good. Reading the plea, I see why he burned his truck now. He killed her inside of it.

Mickey is so brave. So, so brave. She must have been terrified but she fought anyway. Mace, attempting 911, fighting him for his knife, pretending to be dead an getting the knife again... It all sounds so extremely scary yet she fought. And now he will spend the rest of his life in prison being told what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Never free again. I hope the scars Mickey left on him rind him daily that her courageous fight locked the door on his cell.

And Lisa... Poor Lisa. She tried to get away too. :(

one of the things that strikes me especially in this case. is that so many times with everyone speculating and theorizing we hit things pretty close as to what happened. its sort of scary to realize we've read so many of these cases that we can almost script them.

She got in the truck, tried to call 911, he didn't let her so she maced him and grabbed for the knife. Mickey is a really brave girl. She fought hard and didn't back down considering what she was up against. If he wouldn't have been a p**** (sorry) and pulled the gun out, his butt would have gone down.

RIP Mickey. You are gone but will definitely not be forgotten.

I think we can be assured that some details were left out. For instance, unless there was semen found on Mickey's or Lisa's clothes (it would have degraded with the advanced decomposition of the bodies), there would be no reason to say that these women were sexually assaulted.

The fact that he was calling escort services (basically prostitutes, as there have been stings done on these businesses in the past which resulted in prostitution charges), and the fact that he was heading towards 4 Corners on University (a known crack prostitute area) before coming across Mickey tells me that the underlying motive wasn't to kill per se, but for sexual gratification.

She was so smart and such a fighter. He will never hurt anyone again. My heart is absolutely broken for all the families involved, but I can hardly look at Nancy without being inspired. You can't murder who these women were, Mickeys friends and family won't let you.

If he lied about even one detail, is the deal void?

----------

If this is to be believed, she did turn the knife on him in self defense, as we discussed early on.
That's right, Concentric! Mickey isn't here to tell her side of the events, sadly. He could tell us anything, we have no way to know for sure on some things.

Yep. And Mickey made damn sure that things went horribly wrong for him.

But alas, if he enjoys sex (especially of the non-consensual variety), I'm sure his cellmates at Angola will be happy to accommodate him.

Ok, I'm home now. I was there, scribbling away. Here is what Stutes said regarding Mickey:

She was seen on video on Ryan St. and on St. John @ intersection with University. She crossed over University to St. Landry at 1:48 a.m. BSL was driving south on University on the inside lane. He moved to the outside lane of University and took a quick turn onto St. Landry. He was driving around calling escort services and headed toward Blackham. He followed Mickey through a residential area, and about midway between Dean & Colesieum, he struck Mickey. She was thrown from her bike. He had a knife and a semi-automatic handgun in his truck. He approached her and told her to get in the truck. He either enticed, persuaded, or forced her into the front passenger's seat and put the bike in the bed of his truck. He drove to many other places (which were not stated). She grabbed her cellphone to call for help, he pulled the knife out, she sprayed him with mace, he got the mace, she got his knife and stabbed him, causing 'life-threatening wounds' and cut tendons on his hand/finger(s). He got the knife back and stabbed her 4 times. She fell over. He drove 30-40 minutes away to a sugarcane field where he was going to dispose of her and leave. She jumped up after having gotten the knife again and stabbed him in the chest. He shot her in the head, killing her instantly. He drove home with her in the passenger seat. He cleaned up and took her to the cemetery, but he couldn't dig because his hand was too badly injured. He then hid her body in the tree line and covered her with leaves and branches and drove home. At 8 the next morning, he called a friend in NOLA and left at 11 a.m. to go visit said friend. On the way, he threw the bike in the water and threw the knife in a dumpster in NOLA. (I couldn't hear what was said about the gun, if anything). On May 20, he returned from NOLA and went to the cemetery where he buried Mickey. He then went back home and burned evidence, including her book bag, and disposed of her Ipod.

God Bless God Bless God Bless that little girl and her family. She fought like the dickens.

Shout out to a fellow WSer who sat behind me!
