Toxicology reports take anywhere from 4-9 weeks depending on the ME's office. By now the results would be in. typically if the case is in the media, they can get a public record of that report.

I doubt the ME was involved as Donnie was taken to a hospital for treatment. The hospital assuredly ran a toxicology panel as they do with all suicide attempt victims. They would have results for common drugs of abuse within the hour. Prescription drugs (ie antidepressants) can be measured within a short time too. Donnie was considered as an organ donor so I doubt his tox panel was that bad or the family would have been told he wasn't eligible.

IIRC the family consented when asked about organ donation, but in the end his organs were not harvested as he had been in intensive care for too long. Traumatic brain injury often results in other organs failing.

Footballmom, I thought Brittney told her mom she was headed to KR, not KB. Isn't KR the one that cried her heart out about missing Brittney, then got a new boyfriend and took off for the casinos?

Maybe I should ask this in the PL but it is on the timeline up here.

Sorry, i'm sitting here having a physics melt down (I simply do NOT understand my homework and I'm on the verge of tears). I totally forgot Donny was in the hospital for 3 days or so. Yes, he would have had a test done as soon as he was admitted. I did work in the ER (I'm an RN) you are absolutely right. We only know that Wendy said he was going to donate organs, we have no idea if that was true. I take it you're also in Medical? Nice to see someone else around here as well. Know anything about physics lol..

I assumed the same thing as well, but because these people have deleted or at least hidden from public view their past entries, it's hard telling. I too assumed it was KR but Brittney and KB were tight for awhile there.

...

IMO... I think they may be more likely to start telling the truth if there *might be the potential for federal charges to be brought against them (sex ring/trafficking of minors, if there was ever any type of exchange for illicit and/or Rx drugs, coercion, intimidation, obstruction, tampering with evidence, fraud, forfeiture of assets including real estate including where the crimes occurred... among other potential charges). I've been doing A LOT of reading today... if you can't tell. ;)

I'm certainly no legal expert but I wonder IF one or more of the victims ever traveled out of state with the perps - perhaps to a Florida condo or other out of state location (TN) & any abuse occurred there... might that count as interstate transport thereby making it more certain to be a federal offense?

*I'm trying to find a verified professional WBS member who may be able to help us determine whether or not any of the above may be possible.

In addition, I'm hoping they may be able to educate us on whether or not the general public (and/or Brittney's family) have any legal rights to ensure ALL of these cases are being managed appropriately and with as much effort, due care and process available under local, state and federal laws.

I'm also curious to know what they think LE's strategy may be (if there is one)... and how in the world LE can use the "no evidence of foul play" and "not connected" excuses.

Any interstate activity in connection with child sex crimes could get the feds involved, yes.

Members of the public do not have any legal rights to force LE or prosecutors to handle a case any particular way. Family members might have "victims' rights" if there is a victims' rights statute in AL. But even they can't direct the investigation or prosecution or sue anyone if the cases are not handled properly.

I read a little bit about the case, but not enough to know what LE's strategy might be. My guesses about the quotes you mentioned are: (1) there is no evidence of foul play (although there might be strong reasons to suspect foul play), and (2) there is no evidence that the child sex crimes are connected to BW's disappearance.

Thank you AZ for your insight. Yesterday we discussed what a "sex ring" in this case might constitute as. Can your broaden our insights with how that term is used & in relation to? I have a pretty clear (as I think most of us do) what it means but because there is no indication of much, at all in the case other than arrests and the charges - I am a tad curious. Hope this makes sense. Also, I think we speculated and came to the conclusion that the incest charges were dropped due to no blood officiation determined (while there was thought to be in the initial arrest). Would an incest charge drop if the person is a cousin? This confused me as well.

uuummm... I'm gonna go ahead and call BS on Wendy Wood Holland's claims that DH was even considered for one second to be an organ donor (other than for anatomy lab or research)... I'm going to even use your salty language... FFS!

LOL!

:floorlaugh: His organs would be shot to crap with his drug/alcohol issues. But yes, only Wendy stated in - almost to raise sympathy and the way it was written? Really odd. Seriously. I can't even put into words how it came across other than odd.

YEA!!! I didn't scare you off with my request! THANK YOU!!!!

LE has stated no reason to even suspect foul play (Crimestoppers will not donate reward $ for that reason)... they have flat out said there is no connection to the sex crimes... (many of us believe there is a connection or at the very least numerous reasons to suspect foul play)

We had to pitch a gigantic fit to even get LE to fill out the 2 minute form on the computer to have her added to NCMEC.

LE also didn't notify Alabama DPS/ABI about her disappearance (per state law). A private citizen notified them 30 days later...

ooohhh I can answer that... Yes, in Alabama (and in several states) it is not illegal to have relations with your first cousin.

I thought her initials were KB... are they in fact KR? Wait scratch that! I just remembered her last name - I'll fix it (thank you!)

The "vastly popular" casino BFF that I am aware of has totally different initials.

FFS back at ya!

Actually they harvest a lot of 'stuff' besides organs from bodies. He could have donated eye lenses, bone, skin, that type of 'stuff'. I guess the transplant team didn't even show up because his major organs were trashed.

Remember WWH posting about "pulling the plug" on Donnie. I thought that was so tacky as no hospital personnel would ever call it that, so I don't know where she got that phrase. Sounds like what I do when I finish vacuuming.

AZL!!! Would you mind offering your opinion on this great post by reedus23?:

Regarding the other issues, the only thing I can think to do is contact the State's Attorney General. I've never dealt with such a case but it seems to me I've heard of situations where I am where LE either had serious internal issues or something else going on that called their ability to do their jobs into question and it seemed to me that the first step was to have the State's Attorney General step in and possibly the State Police then take over the investigation if they deem it is necessary. I have no idea if that will help but I thought I would throw it out there. Hoping it helps but figuring it can't hurt.

FFS - Mother of the Year also has won numerous pageants & awards for her grace, elegance, style, AND etiquette...

Imma still call BS on DH passing screening assays for infectious agents (and/or potential malignancies).

:rocker:

This is all moo,

I joined here after reading about Brittney's case on a news site.

I don't think she is gone from us. I think she is somewhere staying away from all the mess around family.

I thought her and her uncle Donnie were close. I think he helped her get outta dodge for some reason.

Maybe he gave her money to get by.....hooked her up with a ride out at the truck stop.

I just don't feel she is gone gone . long gone.....not gone gone.

:moo:

I so hope you are right! :please:

How old was DH when he died?

I thought, there was a general rule,of thumb that 50 and over...,the parts are too used... So to speak?
