Package containing body part shuts down VRE tracks in Manassas Park

Virginia Railway Express spokesman Mark Roeber said VRE was notified of a suspicious package on the tracks near Manassas Drive just before 6 p.m. VRE notified police, who had also been notified and gone to the scene.

In the package, police found a human body part, Roeber said. Manassas Park police didn’t tell VRE any other details, except to say it was not a head.

Human remains found on train tracks

"Around 6 p.m., a suspicious package was reported along the tracks between the Manassas Park station and the Burke station. When officers inspected the package, they uncovered human remains."

This article states that it was a black bag and alludes to multiple body parts.

Thanks! I didn't see that in the original article, but as you can see from my map, there are quite a few remains that have been found in these parts lately, especially in the past couple of months.
