I had posted this in another thread, but it is probably more applicable here:

I've said it before, if not here, then in other threads, but at some point doesn't holding back evidence for the sake of maintaining the integrity of an investigation give way to solving the case at all? I mean, if the case is never solved, what good does it do to keep things close to the vest. At some point, that approach has to give way to solving the case and maybe releasing more info will re-vitalize the public, may lead to more tips etc...This case and so many others just seem to wither away, the whole time things are kept close to the vest. I don't know the magical time, but at some point, what does it hurt to clue the public in and ask for their help?

Agree. It's time for a press release of some sort just to let the public know this isn't a cold case. We know they're still searching for Holly. What is their status on the perp? Have they made any progress? etc

Theory: The perp is well known by a person who is close to Holly. This perp has been obsessing about Holly for some time at arm’s length. He’s right under everyone’s nose. He has been able to obtain information about the Bobo family (specifically, Holly) through a person who is close to Holly. Motive: Control/sexual desire/envy.

I agree with everyone who has stated that LE has their eye on a particular suspect, but cannot prove their suspicions due to an alibi and/or lack of evidence. We could have our eyes on this same suspect if (1) the 911 calls were released; and (2) if we knew whether Clint actually heard a conversation and what was said between Holly and the perp in the carport (we’ve only been told Clint heard “voices”). Apparently, Clint was eavesdropping. IMO there is a reason why Clint did not think anything was wrong when he witnessed the abduction of Holly. The perp’s behavior with Holly (and versa vice) seemed to Clint that they were familiar with one another and that’s why he assumed it was her boyfriend. If the perp was some rogue RSO, I believe Clint would have reacted differently to the situation.

I agree he would have reacted differently IF he had a reason to believe it wasn't DS. Unfortunately, those dots had not been connected by him at the time. IMHO I believe it is likely someone as you describe or, personally, I still think an RSO who became aware of Holly could still fit the facts as known.

Point taken. However, I don’t think Clint believed it was Drew with Holly, instead I think he assumed it was Drew (he never saw his face) because of a familiarity between the two. His mother tells him over the phone “that’s not Drew!” He never confronts the two of them – he stays out of it. IMO there was a familiarity Clint witnessed which confused him. If not Drew, then who?

It was told to Mark Furhman that the dogs stopped at the tree line. We can believe him or the dogs or not believe either. This trail was very fresh. The dogs should have led them somewhere..imo. The dogs had blood to go on. Bloodhounds can track blood for miles and miles.

Are we are going to be told there were no bloodhounds? What was going on with the outside Golden Retriever during this alleged abduction?

The wheels in my head keep on turning..........

Is that a song?

Thank-you both, sometimes it helps to take a tiny break from the very serious energy & drive we share to find Holly. On that note,i just wanted to say I am a child of the '80's & I all loved those 80's video's that 'Journey' made. I love that guitar riff! You both made me smile.

One possible scenario: Ol' Red...

I saw Holly's face on the back of an 18-wheeler in south Louisiana today.
Sad to see her young, sweet face looking back at me like that but glad to see her face is being seen all over the country.

Ok, who wants to play a game with me? Alright, more of an experiment than a game, but anyways.

Post a theory of what might have happened that you have NEVER posted before. Think outside the box, don't use others, let's see where it goes.

Let's see if we can't get at least 25 different possibilities.

How about this: The perp was definitely someone known to Holly. He was a part of her daily routine somehow. I would think security guard or perhaps by a leap, a lower form of LE. He picked such an early time because A) he learned of her routine from casual talk and/or knew of her upcoming test that day and B) he didn't want to stray from his normal work routine. Meaning the kidnapping would have had to happen before he was to be at work so nothing would seem astray. It's possible he has an axe to grind with LE somehow as well, could be he was rejected at some point by them. It could also be he is well studied on anything LE because at one point he wanted to be LE and/or is obsessive. Maybe a bit of both?

I think he is highly organized and it was planned. It may have been the test that made him feel that THAT day was the day. Anyhow, I definitely would bet he stalked her and learned where she lived. He chose her home because he familiarized himself with it enough to feel comfortable there and again he needed to get this done before his regular work schedule. And I don't think Clint was a threat to him. It's possible he knew Clint was there but thought nothing of it. If we were to go on a bases of casual conversation, maybe Holly mentioned to him at one point that Clint was a deep sleeper or any number of things but my point is that this might of made him feel secure enough to write Clint off as a non threat.

Also, another poster on here stated that the perp seemed like he "cared" for her. I agree with this 100%. I think he wanted to keep her and I truly believe she is alive - somewhere out there. I just hope LE finds her soon.

snip-snip

I appreciate your theory itself but it is for the life of me that anyone can believe this perp "cared for" Holly Bobo, who left an amount of her blood at the scene, shed, we only can assume, by being hit or cut by her kidnapper.

I totally get what you're saying, but I think that's why the "cared for" is in quotes. This is referring to their delusional thought process, which you and me, well, we just can't grasp.

Well.....maybe. Do agree with the "just can't grasp" it though. But no matter the number of inverted commas one attaches to the phrase "cared for," I have a native suspicion that this person did not care for Holly AT ALL and his escorting (is that the right word now? first "drug," then led, now escorted?) of Holly was merely an expedient of the situation as it played itself out.

Hope I'm wrong.

I would think this because in my theory it's possible the perp was an obsessive stalker who may have believed that a special relationship existed between him and Holly. Any prior contact with her may have just been a positive reinforcement of this relationship and in a twisted way, he "cared" for her.

We aren't sure what injury Holly sustained. Perhaps when she was startled by him and screamed, he reacted by violently placing his hand over her mouth thus causing an injury that wasn't part of his plan. I don't know. I could only speculate. After all, I was only giving my opinion on a theory that I thought could be different and just laying it all out there.

I, in no way, would ever think he cared about her in a normal way.

Anyways, it's just my 2cents.

I know. And sorry. Perhaps my reaction was a bit over-visceral.

I can't argue with any of that. The only thing I don't believe is the last paragraph, but I hope you are right and I am wrong.

ETA-Was particularly referring to whether or not she is still alive.

Are we to sarx's prescribed 25 out-of-box theories yet? Let's see....mine have been the Rogue Cop one (much better-elucidated by lilsleuth, above), the so-called "Rogue Spokespastors," and the "Holly died accidentally and what we see is still the process of the cover-up." I should go back and count, then list 'em all. Don't think we're quite there yet though.

If we need more theories, allow me.

Those pesky invisible UFO's! One landed just near the woods at Holly's house on the morning of her abduction. And this wasn't just any alien...no sir, he was wearing camo, the uniform of the "tough guy!" He decided to march right into the house...and why not? After all, several MSM posted the news that there was a "home invasion." It took a little convincing, but Holly walked right alongside of the camo alien as he led her into the woods. Clint didn't witness a knife or a gun...so maybe the weapon was invisible too. The blood Clint sees came from a finger prick. That's right, the camo alien wanted to make sure he was bringing along the correct specimen. Unfortunately, he had to use a small scapel for the finger prick. It was all he had packed for the trip. Anyhoo, the camo alien loads Holly onto his Mars Landrover....easily mistaken for a typical redneck 4 wheeler. He will have to sell those Landrover wheels on craigslist as soon as this mess is over...

In this theory, LE reacts perfectly. No need for roadblocks, because the camo alien ditches the Mars Landrover and scoops Holly up into the invisible UFO....A roadblock wouldn't catch a thing.

This is all I have left for a theory. At least for now. It's 2:14 am.
I'll try again later as my creativity expands during the daylight hours. If it expands much more, I might become the next J.K. Rowling. You all can say you knew me when....

I don't know what number we are on  outside the box but I will throw one more in for good measure. Let's just suppose for a second that Holly had been getting strange text messages, notes on her car, or hang up calls. She shared this with her mom. Maybe they never knew who was making the calls. LE usually won't do much about those type of calls, I know first hand. Anyway, the flurry of phone calls. Holly goes out to her car. She finds another note on her car, gets another text or strange call. Holly goes back in the house to call mom. The phone calls ensue relaying what happened. Holly has to get to school for her test, thinks whoever left the note did it in the night and dashes out to her car. But, "he" is hiding nearby and abducts Holly. Karen gets the call that the neighbor heard a scream/screams and immediately knows Holly is in danger thus dropping to her knees. Karen's reaction seems to indicate she knew right away something happened to Holly and was overcome that she hadn't done more to protect her.

That's all I got.

I agree with this - that, from the reaction, it seemed not so much unexpected as it did inevitable.
