Facial Reconstruction Of Man Found Dead In Jefferson County 30 Years Ago Released

Hikers discovered the body on Feb. 13, 1977 in a military-type, mummy style sleeping bag, about 100 feet over the embankment from Hwy. 285, a mile south of Colo. Highway 8.

An autopsy determined the body had been there for 30 to 60 days before being found. {Dec. 1976-mid Jan 1977}

He was likely Native American Indian, in his early 20s, 5'7" to 5'8", 125 to 145 pounds. The man had dark brown or black hair about 5" in length and had size 5 feet.

Investigators try to crack a cold case

The 1977 John Doe may have been Caucasian, with some Hispanic or Asian heritage. Investigators say he was about 5'8" and may have been 20 to 24 years old.

"He had suffered some blows to the head," said investigator Cheryl Moore.

I wonder if the shoe size is correct - that is awfully small for a man (in fact I work as a pedorthist and I have never seen feet that small on a man) Given his height that would surprise me.

Of course, I am only 5'3" and wear size 11 so I suppose anything is possible!

An investigation revealed that in mid-December 1976, a male had come to the door of the nearby Twin Forks Motel in Tiny Town asking to use a phone to obtain a ride to Littleton.
The man had several minor cuts to his face, which were bleeding. He indicated that he had been in a fight with his brother and the brother made him get out of the car. The man indicated that he had kicked out the windshield in his brother’s car. The man used the phone, but did not reach anyone. He was clothed only in a shirt and pants on a very cold night. The witness provided him a coat, and the man returned a short time later, apparently with his brother and returned the coat. The identity of this man was never determined, and it is unknown if it is related.

I was thinking the same thing also... Of all the NamUs profiles I have read... I don't think I have ever seen them that detailed either... Wow!!

There's a guy named Donald Adams missing from Nome, Alaska in October 1976. There's literally nothing known about him except the name and a blurry photo. But he looks a lot like this UID, I think. But I'm not good with faces, so I might be wrong, and with no information I'm not sure what they'd do about it it anyway.

But here's a side by side, for what it's worth.
