Hi. I'm not really new here, but I haven't posted since last year. Back then, I was so worried about Kaylea Wilson in Greeley, CO, whose remains were later found after a big rain.
This is much harder though, because I also live in Westminster, CO. Heavens, the dog park where I go is right across the street from Jessica's neighborhood. I think I even saw her there last spring with her little black and white dog...not sure. And last summer, I had some sessions at a chiropractor's, right down the street from the neighborhood where her back pack was found!
I don't really have any particular insights to offer, except from noticing a few things from the map. If you look at McCaslin Blvd, you'll see that it's a big street that runs north and south through Superior. Then, going south, it runs into 120th. Then with just a little jog to the east, you hit Indiana. Then , it's a straight shot south to 82nd ave and Pattridge Park in Arvada.
I have no real data to base this on, but my feeling is he probably lived near her neighborhood, but had done some work in Superior and Arvada, and appreciated how sparsely populated that whole area is, looking west from Indiana st.
Today, I took some flowers and a sympathy card up to Chelsea Park and I just lost it. But I'm glad I went; maybe all the thousands of sympathetic neighbors will give some comfort to the grieving family.
After driving through the area, a couple of questions occurred to me....
1. Wondering when these houses in her neighborhood were built. Most had 1-car garages, and big trees in the front yards and looked about 1500 sq ft. 1980s? The reason I'm asking has to do with #2.
2. The neighborhood off McCaslin where BP was found. Newer houses? bigger? more expensive?
3. The houses just east of Pattridge Park- on google, they look very big and new and expensive. Does anyone know?
I guess I'm thinking that the perp lives in a modest home, and does some kind of work in the housing industry that lets him drive up and down Indiana to new neighborhoods. The housing crash hit this area pretty hard, and I can just picture someone cruising out through the foothills....
Prayers for her family.
