Probably the same place she is now. Lawyers aren't supporting her. Someone is. She's infamous and sociopathic. That means there will always be people who want to be near her or who want to help her merely because she is known and she will always be able to sponge off well meaning religious people who feel every soul is worth saving and who become charmed by her seemingly earnest efforts to become saved. She is shrewd. She knows how to play to people's sympathies and insecurities.

I swear, the injustice of this case is mind blowing. A person can kill their beautiful baby, get away with it and then essentially dance on that child's grave, not having to even worry about survival or work or anything else afterwards. Please someone tell me that one day she will face the music?

If Casey does get her big payout interview, probably with CBS as it seems they've been feeding her coffers all along, she has three choices:
1. go with the story of George's sexual abuse and him being responsible for Caylee's death.
2. admit it was all a lie she gleefully went along with to save her skin.
3. make a new story up

none of those bode well for her. She either pokes George into a big payout of his own, minus Cindy. Or she faces the wrath of a country for lying about the death of a child (again). Or she is nothing but a lying little twit.

she is good for one interview. after that she's nothing special and hardly worth listening to. And all her posse will want their cut. No matter what she does, she is still a one story book.

Boy are you right. If you read John McAfee's blog and comments, there are people coming out of the woodwork (who don't know him from Adam) that are offering him money, meals, housing, transportation, use of fancy luxury boats, etc. There are always people who, in David Letterman terms, want a "brush with greatness".

ya know angel, 2 1/2 years ago I could have answered this succinctly but honestly, I've tried to put so much of this case out of my psyche that I can't recall all the details anymore. I will try but I'm going to defer to AZlawyer to fill you in and correct my memory because believe me, it is vague now. lol

I just recall that after Casey filed for indigency status, the JAC (some FL commission that I can't even recall what the acronym stands for now haha!) had to approve all those kind of expenses. Baez purported that his experts had agreed to work for whatever funds JAC approved which were FAR, FAR less than their usual fees. I have no idea what those experts really agreed to - only Baez knows. Anyway, I have no idea what, if anything, he paid them but yes, I would assume that the funds JAC gave him were expected to be distributed as he claimed they would be.

AZ, you still around to fill in the blanks or correct my memory? Please have at it!

I can't remember the details either, but I thought JB complained to the judge that the state was paying him "slave wages" or was he referring to the expert fees when he said that?

IIRC Baez was referring to himself getting paid "slave wages" something like $3.00/hr
