Me too, Idon'tneedthesame. :( Another holiday will soon pass for Katelyn's loved ones without her. :cry: My heart goes out to them and countless other families, especially this week!

bumping for katelyn :/

i have been following her story from the beginning and i cant believe she hasnt been found yet!
 
I've lived in Fairfield my whole life, I live pretty close to where Katelyn lived. I didn't know her but I know many of her friends. It used to be such a quiet town but that's changed within the past few years. I often think about what could have happened, its been almost a year and a half now and still nothing. Prayers for Katelyn.
 
Apologies if this info has already been posted; I have many pages of Katelyn's thread to peruse because I haven't visited for a while. I'm not sure if there's any connection between Chelsea Johnson's case and Katelyn's; the story below only makes a link through close location in Fairfield. But in Chelsea's case (unlike Katelyn, Chelsea was found -- although with very sad outcome) there is some promise that the person responsible has been identified. I post it here in case there will be some link discovered OR to offer hope that guilty folks will be found (tho' the story is a bit depressing because prosecuter's are trying to determine if they have enough evidence to convict):

Fairfield police said Wednesday they are close to charging someone with the murder of 15-year-old Chelsea Johnson.....


Johnson was found stabbed to death April 16, about nine hours after she was reported missing. Her body was found near a creek by the Creekside Village of Fairfield apartments between River Road and Pleasant Avenue.....

George Donald Davis, 24, pleaded guilty to charges of importuning, drug trafficking and attempting to compel prostitution charges for offering Johnson drugs in exchange for sex. He was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. Dickey has not commented on whether he is a person of interest in the case.

The creek where Johnson was found is also in the same general area from where Katelyn Markham disappeared about a year ago and where Joseph Oakley, 19, of Fairfield, was found dead in August. He had several gunshot wounds. Dickey said “we’re still working on it,” about the Oakley case."
 
Our police department confirmed that they do not think the disappearance of Katelyn and Cheleas's murder were related, many residents were concerned early on since the locations of Katelyn's apartment and the creek that Chelsea was found in are literally right across the street from each other. I haven't seen too much in our local papers about Katelyn since the summer when they thought there may have been a connection between Katelyn's disappearance and Kang the gas station worker.

This is the second Christmas that your family has celebrated with out you. So sad for them to have no knowledge of WHERE you are!

Dear God..Please Bring Katelyn Home to Those Who Love Her
 
Will there ever be a break in this case? Think of Katelyn often and hoping she will be found. Its hard to believe in this day with all the new technology, forensics etc someone can just disappear without a trace but there are so many of them. For Katelyn, Paige, Holly, Hailey Brittney and many more may someone come forward with some useful information :(
 
Bumping for Katelyn. And they were close to an arrest in Chelsea Johnson's murder in Nov. So where is it?
 
my heart skipped a beat when i saw a comment on katelyn's thread. i thought maybe there had been a break in the few days i took off from the internet.

hopefully she is home soon :/
 
Thinking about Katelyn and wishing there would be a break. This case saddens me so much because it has been a cold case from day one. Still praying for a miracle that something will happen soon.
 
Skeletal remains found in Cedar Grove Indiana. This is very close to the Carter family farm. The family made several trips there that weekend and explained needing to cut the grass, etc. Heck, we heard more about why they went to the farm than we did of what JC was really doing that night. .......So, tummy is tossing on this find tonight.

"The remains were found at about 11 a.m. Sunday morning by passersby who were walking along Big Cedar Creek."

"State police have not said how long they believe the remains have been there. Witnesses also said police were collecting evidence in bags at the scene."
