Is anyone familiar with this story? I just saw the 1st segment of a 2 part segment on Dr. Phil regarding Sheena Morris. The whole story is kind of confusing and I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks of this case. I searched for a thread regarding her story but I couldn't seem to locate one. I hope I am posting this correctly.

Sheena Morris was found dead, her body hanging in a shower stall of a Bradenton Beach, Fla., hotel room, where reports say she was scouting locations for her wedding. Her death was ruled a suicide and later changed to undetermined.

The links are pretty interesting, the third link really explains the entire story.

Very sad story

I live in the area where they were... so have been following it since it happened. Sheena's Mom has continually been fighting the police to reopen the case and they finally said they would just this past month.
I have lots i could say about the B'ton Police department but have a feeling i need to get verified as a local first.

I really do hope she FINALLY finds out what happened that evening/ morning. IMO, things don't look so great for the fiancee, as he's had past domestic issues and there are a whole lot of witnesses claiming he's treated Sheena as if "she was his property". I am just really skeptical about the fact the she committed suicide. She was such a beautiful woman and way to young to leave this earth. I can only go by what I read and saw on Dr. Phil but I am really interested in seeing what comes out when they reopen the case. If you do get verified, please share the info you have about the police department, I'd love to hear it. This case is now my new obsession lol

I read all about her a month ago on the families website, it's a long and informative read.
Did y'all see the Facebook status this morning from the justice4sheena page?
Something new is about to come out that the family calls "disturbing"

Yeah, Things seem really fishy here. I'm going to follow this case to see what comes up. Hopefully we will be able to do some sleuthing here soon.

I would also like to add that the fact that she was found hanging from a dog leash is HIGHLY suspect to me that it was not of her own doing.

This is coming from a dog lover !

Sheena Morris: Inquiry into death nearing its end
February 2, 2013

BRADENTON BEACH - Kelly Osborn could soon have an answer.

The controversial investigation into the 2009 death of her daughter, Sheena Morris, is drawing to a close, says the prosecutor assigned to the case.

Assistant State Attorney Arthur Brown III has been receiving weekly updates from the three Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agents assigned to the investigation.

"They've indicated they're relatively close — two or maybe four weeks away," Brown said.

After the Herald-Tribune published a series of stories about Morris' death last year, the FDLE assembled a panel of experts to reexamine the case. The group consisted of seasoned prosecutors, detectives, forensic specialists and medical examiners.

The experts concluded that the case should be reopened, and the FDLE assigned three special agents to assist Bradenton Beach police with the investigation.

What would hold your body weight in a shower. Im sure were all thinking the shower head and the bar that its attatched too but i don't think its strong enough..

I think it's possible a slender young lady of 22, which definitely describes Sheena, could be supported by a shower head. I'd be surprised if she weighed much over 100 pounds.

I have been a long time lurker :lurk: at this forum, leaving the speaking to others, but I have to post and say that I really hope and pray :please:that some attention gets shown to Sheena's case soon. I went to high school with Sheena Morris, and although we were not close friends, she was always very kind and compassionate toward me. I feel very strongly that she did not take her own life. I do not profess to know the details, but something is very off overall, IMO.

This is the official website regarding Sheena and her untimely death: http://www.justice4sheena.com/

I apologize if it is not OK to post that link, but I just realized there was a thread for Sheena and wanted to let it be known that any new eyes on this case would be greatly appreciates by all. :tyou:

This Friday 20/20 will be doing a show on Sheena's case.

The 20/20 episode on Sheena's case has been moved back to October 18.

I wonder why the show was re-scheduled. Sometimes that indicates a break is coming in a case.

Story updated: ABC's 20/20 reschedules story on investigation into Sheena Morris' death

Clay, NY -- The investigation into the death of a former town of Clay woman who was found dead in Florida in 2009 will be featured on ABC's 20/20.

The news program announced Wednesday that the story would be featured on Friday, but the story on Sheena Morris has been moved to Oct. 18.

I became aware of sheena after watching the episodes of Dr Phil where her case was discussed and the fiance took the lie detector test. It struck a cord with me as my friends daughter (12) had recently passes from a partial hanging from a dog leash. My friend is also looking into whether her daughter took her own life or if someone was involved. I wish sheenas mum she gets justice for her daughter. Jo04 from Australia

wasn't this in a hotel? stuff in hotels are usually sturdier than the home version based on the fact people might hang heavier stuff there without thinking about it. or thinking about how the weight from wet towels, clothes they may have hung up to steam, and fold out luggage with toileteries (the ones for women can be heavy) all hanging there.

quoting my own post..

but would Sheena have known that? I am not sure she would.

that and the dog leash.. hmmm...

From the link in the first post:

snip

Forensic experts who have reviewed the case for Osborn say it appears Morris was carried into the shower.

I wonder if it is possible if she was suffocated and then carried to the shower and then basically a scene was staged to look like she committed suicide? I haven't come across anything that stated she had emotional issues or bouts of depression. A fight with your fiance does not usually cause someone to immediately think of killing themselves, in my opinion. I would think if someone were to do that in this case, that there would have been many signs leading up to it. As far as I can tell from the family's shock and outrage at her death being ruled a suicide, it seems there had been no signs to indicate any emotional stress or depression, prior to that night. I am just speculating here....

There was sand on her feet, but no sand in the tub. That's difficult to explain. I read a statement analysis of the fiancé's interviews. Not only does he never state outright that he didn't kill Sheena, but deception was indicated in many of his statements.

I believe that during their argument he killed her and staged a suicide.

My heart goes out to Sheena's family. I hope LE brings charges soon, and Sheena and her family can finally have justice.
