I expected all of Travis' siblings to give victim's impact statements. Is there a limit on how many family members may speak?

The judge has to be very careful not to allow too many VIS--they can overwhelm the emotions of the jury and create a likelihood of a verdict based on sympathy toward the family.

Now I know a bunch of you want to reply, "So? What's wrong with a verdict based on sympathy toward the family?" But trust me, you don't want anything that will lead to a "redo" on appeal for Jodi.

Considering the long break, and if JA's witnesses actually left the courthouse, I'm thinking perhaps she doesn't want to put on any mitigation evidence and will ask the jury for the death penalty.
